Hope this McHale stuff is bs. I'd be pretty much done with this team.

I havent watched a ton of Collison, and he will be 32 next season, how is his defense?

Bigger guys can give him trouble but overall it's pretty good. That's kind of how I view him in general 'pretty good'. And one of him or Joseph will definitely be gone from Indi this summer. Can't see them resigning both with holiday in the fold needing some run.

Suns will have an interesting decision when it comes to these 'decent' type PGs. Are they enough of an upgrade over Johnson to dedicate their limited FA money on when you also have a gaping hole at PF? Probably depends on the cost and what options they have at PF.

It would be great to win the lotto again, and have Zion be healthy, but if that happens I would really want a super solid pg to run the team.

If we win Zion.... all this pain the last few years could be worth it. Imagine if we trade Zion + Josh + Johnson for AD in parallel with signing a top FA like Kyrie/Kemba... back to reality....

Even better would be Ayton instead of Zion in that trade.

Hopefully we address the two holes in our roster. It would be best to make a trade for one of those holes, and draft the other. Having one of the highest 2nd rounder picks isn't bad, either as a pick or a trading piece.

Bill Duffy is Ayton and Oubre agent, as well as upcoming free agent Darren Collison.

It looks like Morant is the only player ranked top 5 that would fill a hole at pg/pf. I’m not sure we would want to start another rookie though. We would likely still need to find a pg/pf and have Morant learn off the bench for a while.

I feel like there are a lot of interesting names at pg via fa or trade that will be a big improvement, but I have not heard to many names thrown around for pfs. If there are not as many pfs available, we may need to prioritize our trade/cap assets towards getting a pf and pick up a cheaper vet pg in FA.

If they draft Ja they would probably just keep Johnson for a year and start him unless ja legit beats him out.

It will depend on where we are in the draft. But Ja may be fine to start, we just may need to add playable vets in key spots, and not blow our wad on a position we already have covered like we did this year at sf. And it also depends on what we can get for Johnson, if we stretch him, or if he is passable to start for a month into the season, while Ja gets used to the nba and the speed of the game.

Lots of ifs, but there should be more options for us once the lotto draft happens. Another option if we draft RJ, would be to trade a few of our SF for holes on pg and pf, but i would rather those trades happened either right before draft day or on draft day. Then we could use our money on either or position of need.

I am not a big McHale's fan, but Duffy wanted Doncic for the Suns/Kokoskov before the draft. He was right.

His advice is probably a good one for the team.
And yeah, for his clients too, but sometimes an agent with that experience understands pretty well what a team needs to improve.

Can be McHale worse than McDonough or even James Jones?

Jackson didn't like his fine being public...well dude you missed a public event.

I don't really buy his family emergency thing either because if that was legit I doubt he would have been fined.

Josh doesn’t take responsibility for his poor play on the court so I’m not surprised at his response.

He's basically the wing version of Chriss. And if you look at things like bpm and vorp Chriss was better than Jackson in his first two seasons.

Don’t make us all cry.

I think Josh has a lot of potential, we can’t give up on his development, his trade value is not super high.

If suns draft Zion Williamson he will be a bust. If he goes somewhere else he will be a superstar!

What do you think of Bridges + #2 + Milwaukee pick for JJJ?

We should have enough money in FA to pick up a pg and round out the roster. Would hate to lose Bridges but we can resign Oubre. JJJ would be perfect next to Ayton.

I feel like I read that many times before here. Only about Jackson, Ayton etc.

And I would never trade Zion for AD who would think about nothing but to get out of here from the second he got traded.
