A game thread, for a win, that doesn't get to page 2? I guess i am not the only one that has lost interest.

I had the game on in the background as I'm doing some work. Mad they won.

I watched. At this point its all fun. If we win and play well I'm happy. If we lose and young players show flashes I'm happy. If we collect ping pong balls for the lotto and we are closer to GMEG being ousted, I'm happy. It's all good.

Thanks Mr. Happy.

I didn’t watch the game. What finally tipped off Brooks that Wes Johnson is unplayable?

Likely a threat from Ted. Play young guys, see what we've got.

The Magic and Hornets both lost tonight. We are 3 games out of the playoffs.

We have a cakewalk schedule to end the season. Of the 19 games remaining:

9 are against tanking teams or teams that have no realistic hope for the playoffs. 4 or those are at home.
6 are against teams that are actually good: DEN (twice), UTA (twice), SAS and BOS. 4 of those are at home.
4 are against the teams competing with us for the 8th seed: CHA (twice), ORL and MIA. 3 of those are at home.

If we just beat that bad teams and win the home games against 8th seed competitors, we would go 12-7 while also establishing the tiebreaker advantage over ORL and MIA. That's probably not quite enough to make the playoffs, but it will put us real close. A real key would be to beat Charlotte twice, which would get us the tiebreaker over them as well (not to mention deliver them 2 losses). That might be enough. A win or two against the good teams will probably clinch it.

BTW, that Boston game is the last game of the season and they may not have anything to play for.

I would love to see Dekker play more. Knowing Brooks I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps going to Wes Johnson. Dekker played great tonight and he is someone I would love to have back next year.

Disappointing win against a team we're competing with for Zion odds.

Up next on the schedule, three games with direct lottery implications, let's hope the Wizards get back on track.

The other eastern cellar dwellers lost, so that was a terrible win. Awful.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

People need to get off the Zion train, he is going to be a Knick (I hope so), Sun or Cavalier. We have less than 5% chance of getting him. Nothing else in the draft raises my eyebrows and even so do you trust a GM that picked Jan Vesley as a lottery pick to make the right choice?

Wins are losses

Losses don't mean wins. Wiz fans should already know this.

Even casual basketball fans (like my brother) are saying... We already saw that Dekker can play like that, so why wasn't he getting any PT while Green and especially Ariza were getting far too much PT? Brooks really needs to answer that question.

...& Parker as well.

I did have the thought that maybe they've decided on Dekker -- i.e. that they want to keep him, re-sign him long term -- & they want him to have a low profile so as to sign him for less $$.

Then too, Parker may be getting all these minutes for a sort of similar reason -- that they want to figure out whether he's worth some kind of a make-good offer.

Or... Brooks may just be the not-very-clever coach he gives us so many other reasons to conclude!

edit: gee... which do I thin it is, I wonder ???? :)
