Spo fooled me, I thought he would primarily sick Richardson on Trae but he trapped damn near every time. The quality of the traps matter obviously. The fact Trae had 8 turns, no John again, Len did nothing, and Baze was Baze and we only lost by a point on the road is yet another testament to Coach. I don’t know why Taurean didn’t play and am not concerned.

What else can you say about Vince, though. He’s actually a decent positional and post defender besides shooting lights out all season while running like he had a hip replacement. I want him somewhere in the Hawks facility immediately after retirement.

In the first half the traps on Trae was with a big and at the 3 point line. In the 2nd half the traps were from halfcourt with wing defenders - Richardson and Winslow, so Trae had decisions to make sooner.
Back in Atl for the birth of his son.

Love this Vince signing and so does everyone else.

Appreciate it, only caught parts of the game. That’s why I love Spo and Pat. LeBron couldnt leave there fast enough afte he got on the ring ledger. He expends a fraction of the energy Richardson and Winslow does on the winning end.

And who else would bet a good sum of money Vince doesn’t go on some lame farewell tour. Every time he’s interviewed he makes a joke about his body aching lol. I’m sure he’s gonna hang it up quietly this summer. Old Guard.

It’s crazy but it’s tough to argue. I always thought his floor game would unlock so many doors for his efficiency. He was out there fighting Bigs for boards last night! As long as he finds ways every night to be a neutral or better on defense he doesn’t even have to score to lead a winning effort. Very few players in the league you can say that about. He makes so many plays, even non-scoring ones, that stagnate the other team’s momentum. 110 threes out of your True Centers has been a huge help.
