then we curb stomp dallas by 40 points in the type or response everyone wanted to see... a blowout from start to finish...

but we have people here bashing Dlo for a poor shooting night and bashing kenny for not playing caris enough and not padding Dlo numbers?

at least we didnt get any "we need to sign spencer hawes" trash today

Russell had a solid 13/11/2 in a game where he was making everyone around him better with crisp passing and LeVert chimes in off the bench with an 18/5/5 performance that we're used to seeing. There is literally nothing negative that can be taken away from last night. My thing is, I really want Kenny to stick with that 9 man unit that played last night. Kurucs/Carroll at PF is pretty much where we should go from here on out, both provide floor spacing and they make plays. Graham/RHJ are good soldiers but I really don't like what they are giving us

It isnt realistic to ride kurucs out for 20 more regular season games and expect him to perform well in the playoffs. he played less then 55 minutes all of last season over 10 games. some scattered games minutes in tournaments other leagues. he has never even played something resembling a 30 game college season. he needs to be managed minutes/games wise.

I dont think you can throw RHJ/Graham out of the rotation. we need defenders in a 7 game series and other then Carroll Graham might be our only 3 & D player on the wing. His offense has been off, but we have seen glimpses of when he is on how much he can help this team. I believe he is closer to his career numbers then the small scattered sample here.

RHJ, if you remove him from the rotation you are basically cutting. he is a pending FA, i think you owe it to him and his teammates who pull for him to give him 20 more games plus the playoffs if we make it to decide on him and see what he can give us.

Graham just needs to get in where he fits in. But I agree with you about RHJ he should be in the rotation.

I like RHJ but he's done nothing to earn time down the stretch. We can't just hand him playing time because he's gonna be a FA. He's been terrible all year. Even when Dudley and Graham are missing shots, they're moving the ball and taking shots in the flow of the offense. RHJ just hasn't had it this year.

I feel bad for the guy. If he was a FA after last season, he would've gotten a really nice deal.

I really loved the changes Kenny made.

Dlo needs to be the main ball handler with the starters and let him do his thing. Kurucs and Crabbe are better running mates for Dlo than Levert/Graham as of today. Having Crabbe + Joe at the same time with Dlo handling the rock and FRO setting screens is the way to go. Kurucs is a bit of a Swiss army knife which compliments the rest of the starters much better than RHJ/Graham.

Our bench of Dinwiddie/Levert/DMC/Davis is probably the best in the entire league. Sprinkle in some Shabazz and RHJ when needed an it's very solid. I prefer this "Manu" role for Levert until he's back to 100%.

Also having Dinwiddie back makes us so much more explosive offensively. Glad to the see the mayor back.

Overall I feel like we continue to exceed pre-season expectations.
Nobody saw us being .500 in March fighting for a playoffs spot. Yeah our performances have gone down during the last couple of weeks but I don't see a reason to panic. This group has great chemistry and really are together. We need to battle during the last 16 games of the season to make it into the playoffs. I really want that playoffs experience for our young guys even if we get bounced in the 1st round but if it doesn't happen we can still look at our season as productive and positive.

Seeing the mavs switch their big white stiff onto dinwiddie was fun :)

glad he is back. he is the one guy on our team who can consistently beat his man off the dribble

who knew if you make changes, potential for better results could occur...

btw, Doncic is legit. Porzingas better think about staying in Dallas.... Damn them two healthy and running are a dangerous duo.

I think RHJ will be extremely useful in the playoffs. He could be a key for us in a half court setting.

Right now, he doesn’t deserve to start and hasn’t really returned to the guy we saw last year. I’m thinking Kenny and the staff tried to eliminate the mid range game for him and it hasn’t worked.

Finally got to see the game and honestly, this is the Denver game amidst the first half of our struggles in our recent skid.

I think the energy was better and Rodi and Carroll both played well and so did Caris in his new role but this was a really bad effort by the Mavs and we went nuts from downtown. Not to mention they made the silly (downright idiotic) defensive decision to allow their bigs to be isolated vs our two best dribble penetrating guards. Like, what in the world did Carlisle think was going to happen?

The Cavs have given is tough fights including the last one and I expect our road trip from hell to be that.

Nonetheless, this is why I wasn't concerned about the offense too much. Guys get hot...we've seen that from this team. And when we are making our shots it's difficult to defend this offense.

Our biggest problem has been defensively and rebounding...neither of which Dallas had the weapons to really punish us.

It was our strength going against their weakness, and they simply don't have the players to exploit our weaknesses.

But at the same time, it was nice to see this team show up big on a nationally televised game as opposed to the last time we were on vs the Bucks.
