I’d really like to go after Conley. He has two more years at big money but I like him better as a PG for this group than any of the FA guys available. I think if Jonas opts out of his PO they try to move him. If we could do something like:

Dunn
Felicio
Valentine
2020 Lottery protected first

Or
Dunn
Felicio
valentine
2019 Pick swap (depending on where both teams land)

I think Conley would be a home run and make every one of our guys better.

Would anyone else trade our pick plus Dunn (and Valentine if they like and or a second round pick) for DeAaron Fox? I know they may still not accept, but it's a fair offer IMO.

Why wouldn't they do it if it's overpaying? Can't really be both. I think Fox projects to be better than anyone but Zion in this draft and with him, Dunn's final year isn't worth a lot to us IMO.

I would do it for any pick besides Zion. The Kings wouldnt because Fox is awesome and has higher upside than anyone else in this draft.

I mean Brogdon isn't in Conley's league in a player for player comparison. Brogdon is now a SG who is an excellent spot up shooter who can attack close outs. He'd fit well with our core but he isn't a good creator by any stretch and you'd be putting the ball in Zach's hands full time. Conley just adds dimensions that Brogdon couldn't dream of. Besides, I don't really consider any of the above an asset besides the draft picks.

I don't think it's fair. Fox has been great, made the Kings relevant, and his ceiling is higher than it was when drafted. Plus he's the face of the organization and the team thinks he's a great person. They're not trading him for anything short of Zion. They wouldn't trade him for Markkanen (and to be fair, the Bulls wouldn't do that trade either).

Honestly, we'd be lucky to land either guy. As a pure PG, Conley is better - no doubt...then again he's 31 now and on the books for 2 more years at $32M per, and you'd need to give up stuff to get him. Brogdon is 25 and I think is relegated more to a spot-up role because Giannis is the playmaker.

I'm not sure what the rules are for a sign and trade. I mean the Bulls need a point guard... what about Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, or D'Angelo Russell? Are these options?

Would you do it for Zion? Because that's the only way the Kings even think about the deal long enough to not say no.

26 and 31 is a big difference. No assets and cap space are very different.

Conley is a pure PG and a winner. He’s also missed a lot of games and is aging. He’s a great fit and perfect fit as a PG mentor.

I think Brogdon fits even better though for the multiple ball handler offense, 2 way player, better shooter and better defender.

If we believe Zach is going to make the step to becoming an all star next year and Lauri is close then I think Brogdon is a perfect fit. Having two 3 & D plus players in Otto and Brogdon surrounding the two guys we believe can be stars would be a good thing. Add WCJ to that and we'd have a starting 5 with 3 good defenders and 5 guys that can all shoot. If we stick with the rebound and go offense with multiple ball handles I believe it could work.

On the flip side Conley should be able to get more out of Lauri and WCJ in the half court offense. Would lower our turnovers.

I'd honestly be very happy with either of them.

To me:

There's rumors Kemba Walker may not resign with Charlotte!
Same with Portland: If they continue to falter in the playoffs, what about Lillard?
