I love the way Beal lets the offense flow. Will be interesting to see how he attacks going forward.

The wolves look so bad so far. They have been missing everything from layups to open shots. Also, Troy Brown has now consistently become one of the first to come off the bench.

I'm impressed with Beal. He's taken his game to the next level. So under control. Getting to his spots. Not forcing the offense. Since Wall has gone down, Beal has been lights out.

Wizards being good on a 2nd night of a back to back this season isn't good for the tank

Still fun to watch. I like these cats. They don't rebound well enough and could defend better, but they pass the ball on offense and make the game look fun.

He’s taken thejump IMO. He really looks like he knows what he is capable of and how to do it. If only he liked knocking down wide open threes. Is it my eyes fooling me or is it he seems to have a hitch in his shot when he’s wide open? He just doesn’t seem to release in the same flow as when he’s contested.

Haven't seen any hitch but I'll keep an eye out. I've seen him make enough open threes in past seasons not to be concerned though.

Brooks gets Sato off the floor early so he can come back in and run the 2nd unit. The main difference is that now, Brooks is finally bringing in Brown first, instead of bringing in Randle.

He has a weird hitch on his free throws, but I haven't seen it on his threes.

Re: GT #66 Wizards @ Timberwolves 7:00 PM
Win or lose, I have to say I'm impressed with Parker and Portis. I don't know if either is a starter on a good team and they are certainly taking advantage of bad teams or one like Minnesota, who is basically close to tanking. Take away what they will be asking for, assuming Portis still wants his $14-16M, I wouldn't mind having at least one back but for a lot less than that. I don't care what the defensive metrics say, Parker can help you off the bench with his size, his passing, his versatility, but I wouldn't even pay him half that $20M TO. Portis can be a stetch 5 but his lack of foot speed and athleticism eliminates his ability to protect the paint. His lack of elevation also shows in his inability to convert some puppies.
But both can be useful role players and they play hard. At least with a contract in sight.

Buck sounds tired and pissed off tonight. Arguing every call. Isn't that what you want? A homer? My latest guess on what they want (Zach Leonsis?) is an all-woman booth with the Go-Go announcer Meghan McPeak

They’re reviewing Beals 3 but couldn’t call the foul last night.

Offensively they both have their value. Parker around the rim is especially impressive. When Pprtis is knocking down 3s and rebounding he can look really useful.
But then it ALL FALLS APART on the defensive end.

Agreed.
I'd be fine if we brought one of them back. I don't think we can bring back both though. That's too much money for not enough defense. Portis has been a slightly better player statistically, but my eye test says that Parker is more talented. The Wizards are a long way away from competing for a title, so I think we're better off taking the high risk high reward gamble on Parker. Also, Parker will probably be cheaper. Finally, we've got no clear cut option for a starting PF of the future, whereas we already have Bryant slotted as the center for the future.
