I have a question, have you even seen Barrett iso without a screen and beat his guy off the dribble? What about against an NBA prospect in college? It doesn’t happen. Why? Because his handle isn’t that strong and because he’s not that physically gifted.

I’m saying he’s more skilled than DeRozan was, but physically he’s nothing special and his handle isn’t that special. He’s a great passer, can slip doubles and draw fouls around the basket. So he’s skilled. But in the way that he’s skilled, he’s no phenom. There aren’t lead scorers in the NBA that play the way plays. He doesn’t have the explosion or handle to pull up and make space for shots or to create a shooting window off the dribble. And he doesn’t beat defenses with his speed.

To King Kens point Kawhi also isn't a speedster and he's having a high level scoring season.
RJ's problem I think that he's doing things that most players his age that he hasn't fully developed but he's already way ahead in some areas.

I think a challenge of his going into the NBA will be his efficiency and shot selection. I also think don't think he draws fouls as good as people suggest. In the WF game he had 14 FTA to 23 FGA. However, in today's game against UNC, he had 3 FTA to 27 FGA. Against Syracuse he had 1 FTA to 20 FGA. List goes on with his lack of FTA. He's only had 4 games over double digit FTAs.

I had the same question about Young last year as I do with RJ. Can he be an effective player without if he's not allowed to dominate posessions and shoot the ball 15-20 times a game? We'll have to see.

RJ is still my #2, but Morant is extremely close.

I've been saying this all year. This is my biggest red flag with him. His inability to create any separation for himself in the half court is pretty glaring. And for a guy who's game revolves around him being a high usage ball dominant player, that is a pretty scary red flag to have. Kenny Williams locked him down tonight whenever RJ didn't get any screens.

I have him at #2 but to me the #2 spot this year has just been waiting for someone to grab it and no one wants to (or is capable).
