Agree with that.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yup. Unless they are really good then they will happily pay out the final years.

There feels like no middle ground here. Gute either saw things others didn't, or this whole thing blows up in his face. At least we're not just sitting on our hands.

We can go back to draft and develop when the Kizer era begins.

We can still draft and develop. It never HAD to be one or the other. Teams like the Patriots do both. The problem is that we weren't hitting the draft, and now, with the additions, we don't have to feel pressured to reach or ask too much of a rookie. This frees us up to pick whatever we want at 12. It certainly doesn't preclude us from drafting pass rush.

Where are you seeing that? The only place I've seen that being reported is on Joe Arrigo's twitter account. And, as we should all know by now, Joe Arrigo is not reliable.

Can someone just tell us casual fans if we're better than we were?

Yes, we're better. It remains to be seen by how much.

Disagree with his assessment on Preston Smith. Dude isn't Kahlil Mack but what he is, is healthy and consistent. Only $16 mil guaranteed seems like a bargain. Kinda reluctantly agree with his ZaDarius assessment. That's a lot of money for a guy who's shown one season of a consistent pass rush.

What are the chances of bringing Jake Ryan back? How much will he demand?

Hopefully zero. Dude was slow to begin with and is probably slower now after an ACL injury.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Not much. Probably can get him for like a 1 year, $2 million deal or something like that.

He's been loud wrong multiple times. He's blatantly made up information and mislead his followers. Most recently, he said McDaniels, Gase, Carmichael, Campbell, and Flores were more likely to be hired than LaFleur. He was loud wrong on that, too.
