I noticed during the Bucks/Pacers game at Fiserv the crowd was very quiet to the point where Marv Albert and C-Webb were commenting how silent it was during the game. Is the arena cavernous in general?

There were a few weird things about that game.
The game itself was really boring. Though the Pacers are a playoff team, they don't have any well known players to the average fan. It felt like we were watching a complete scrub team. The Bucks were playing pretty meh boring basketball, Giannis wasn't dunking in the first half and we were still up by 10.

They also were tinkering with the normal routine. The in game announcer guy was different and he was over the top, they had his mike turned up louder than normal, they were playing less music which made it quiet, and the hype man they use was not really as hype as he normally is... Someone said they were tinkering with less music/ Less hypeman because of fan suggestions...said it was too much/ too loud.

The fans did suck that game compared to others.

The crowd can get pretty loud still.. They will be rocking come playoff time.

I haven't complained to my rep or anything, but I'm in the group that thinks it's too loud. Maybe it's just my seats that are higher up by speaker level but it's hard to talk to the person next to you when they random blast music or doing a promo.

Most likely I'm just getting old.

The forced corporate loyalty building hype chants are completely obnoxious. Just let traditions happen organically. For instance, I dont want to be told to chant fear the deer before the tip off.. and then when it fizzles out have the guy keep yelling at us to keep it going. It's dumb, and there has been a lot of that sort of thing in the games i went to this year.

I'm guessing 3rd party youre not getting into a game for less than 125.

Saturday games have been consistently over a hundred for bad teams. My guess is 150 will be the cheapest ticket if it's a weekend night or Sunday day game.

You can sign up for playoff alerts on tickets. My guess is they will either release standing room only or release tickets for season ticket holders who don't have the cash for extra tickets they signed up for. Won't be a ton but it's a free lottery ticket to sign up.

Ticket rep that I talked to said that he doesn't anticipate that there will be any playoff tickets made available to the general public. I'm assuming he was not referring to standing room only, though.

I asked this a couple of weeks ago and got pretty good discussion. IIRC, they roughly guessed 1st rd: $150 and an extra $100 for each round after that. My plan is to go to the arena and wait until right before game time and hope that some one has to liquidate their ticket. If I don't find one, whatever I'll save my money and watch the game out at that fancy outdoor bar if the weather is good. You're welcome to join me!

I’m okay with loud in general, but I agree that there were multiple times at the game I was at (Charlotte) that I was yelling to the person sitting right next to me to talk.

This is a good summary.

I'd also add that they don't play any music/cheers during play for the first 6 minutes of the third quarter. That combined with the fact that lots of people are still making their way back from the concourse makes the early third quarter really dead in there.

That would be pretty messed up for a 17,500 arena and 10K season ticket holders.

I can't believe that's true

Crowds have been definitely been quiet and weird compared to earlier in the year. I think Milwaukee is getting used to seeing this team what it does, but it's also a reflection of the changing fan base and where they are in the arena. Every time I've sat downstairs this year (about 6 times), I'm noticing more and more people not even engaged in the game and are just there for the scene. Corporate ticket comps and casual fans are part of the game of becoming popular. But, that's why it seems quiet on tv. Some people get to their seats in the 2Q, take a long half time and come back in the 4th. They aren't there for the game and the crowd noise reflects that.

I was surprised to hear the league office had heard complaints about the Bucks hype guys and promos being too loud. I think they spend too much energy getting the crowd to cheer during timeouts and dead balls that when it comes back to game action, people are ready to sit down and be quiet again.

The main game ops thing that annoys me is the constant t-shirt and ball tosses in the crowd. People just turn into complete maniacs chasing a cheap plastic ball or an oversized tshirt. I get they are trying to get people hyped up, but, I think these are actually counterproductive to having a loud crowd during game play.

Season ticket holders were allowed to buy extra. I'm biased cause I have season tickets, but I think that is fair. They didn't milk holders on the season tickets and they can now say, well get a group of guys to split season tickets next year.

I do wish we had some traditions that didn't need to be forced (Standing until we score the first basket or something). Hopefully that comes with winning and time.

Are there designated standing room areas upper and lower?
