Even if we could trade LeBron and wanted to... I don't want Magic or Pelinka anywhere near that deal... We'll end up with Wiggins and a late Second...

meanwhile Miles is trying to trade him for cap space alone.

I'm on board with this option too... But maybe not before the lottery balls drop... Then ship him to Dolan, who probably isn't that interested in waiting for even Zion to be a consistent NBA player...
But it could be LeBron/Kyrie AND KD after the dust clears... Have to be comfortable with that one... Which I think I am, because I think KD and LeBron will eventually clash.
As a Bulls fan, I would be open to trading the 4th pick and Dunn. I think he actually would fit in well with Chicago's starting lineup.

Yep! I'd even add a SRP just to make this happen.

LeBron missing the playoffs could actually help recruit a second star. There's currently a narrative out there that stars don't want to play with LeBron because if they will he'll get all the credit but if they don't they'll get all the blame. There's now tangible evidence that LeBron needs help and if a second star can help us make the playoffs, and make a deep run, they would receive a large part of the credit.

I know what you're saying but that narrative would be hard to change, in part because Lebron (and his people) are the key figures in promoting it and the media is hard pressed to call him out on his BS. There are those that do but as a whole the media treats everything that comes out of the Lebron camp as gospel
As for trading him as mentioned by others that would be a colossal mistake on the Lakers part.. The FO is already looking like a dysfunctional mess to trade him after just one season would compound that image times 10... Add with crappy roster additions and the injuries the team suffered there's a strong argument that the record this season is based more on team management with a strong dose of bad timing/luck Another season like this one though and it would certainly be or should be on the table.

The Lakers current messy situation is pretty clear to everyone including the media. If the second superstar comes in and improve from this sorry state and lets say get into the top 2 or 3 in the West, why can't he get the much deserving credit?
I agree that trading Lebron would be a crazy idea. Everything was fine before the injuries and esp the trade rumors. Yes his Klutch sports was the huge culprit and he needs to own up to it, but they need to move on and learn from it.
Most of us have been spoiled by Kobe's full commitment into willing this team to victories esp when he played hurt and became more engaged with his teammates etc and now we want to get rid of Lebron because we don't see those attributes from him.
But there are other things that most of us are not appreciating. Kuzma and Javale are actually thriving the most next to him.
He also becomes much more lethal when you surround him with actual shooters.
I just hope he can work his magic behind the scenes and really help out in recruiting that 2nd "legit"superstar and not I don't mean Cousins and Carmelo.

Doesn’t capspace without Lebron increase our chances of landing Kawhi or Durant? I’d love to get picks, but I’d settle for capspace.

Look I’m not a Lebron fan but I fully expect him to come into next season fully healthy and hungry. Would not be shocked if next year is his best career year and if we are are 2 seed in the West. This was an odd year. I expect Ball to work with bron all summer. I don’t think he gets traded. I think Kuzma is gone and Ingram. As much as it’s being said in the media I think we will get one of Leonard, Durant or Kyrie. Call me optimistic but I really think this year was what it was. Lebron has never been on a team with capspace outside of when he joined the heat. I think he will bring another star. I expect a different team, a different Lebron, and better coaching next year

Re: The LeBron Thread (merged)
this pretty much sums up the season for LeBron and the team unfortunately
edit: on a side note is there anyone less worthy of being so disrespectful in the league that Mario?

Re: The LeBron Thread (merged)
His leadership flaws and ego/narcissism really took a toll on the entire organization. He has some soul searching to do or these last few years will be quite unceremonious especially for a player of his caliber. He can't blame anyone but himself.
That said, I think he'll bounce back and so will the team. But at some point (very soon), he's gonna have to come to terms with his mortality as a NBA player.

No matter what happened, its a disgrace that you will possibly win less games with LeBron than without.
