It happens. At the end of the day, Russell, Spencer, and Caris need to play better. Jarrett Allen has got to get stronger. Kurucs needs to mature, etc etc. On to the next one.

He's 20 years old!

Btw, all this talk about Hubie Brown's gaffes... I still find him a neat listen, and thought he had some interesting things to say at halftime in particular.

Marv Albert by contrast? I'm not even sure he's really there, anymore. Almost sounds like they plugged a box of Marv's old samples in to the mic and let it randomly play all game long.

Hubie Brown is always great, which is another reason why I chalk up the whole New Jersey gaffe to his age and not out of maliciousness. Brown is a professional and has forgotten more about the sport than any of us know.

Yeap, out of all the writers and announcers, I tend to prefer the older guys who coached over just about anyone else, like Jack Ramsay, Charlie Rosen (a total curmudgeon, but still), Hubie, The Czar... I forget who else right now.

To me they just talk pure bball as opposed to getting side-tracked in so many ways like others do.

And other than Rosen, seems like they have little agenda, little need to make jokes, and little need to get in to who's feuding with who, etc. I think part of the reason they stay 'pure' with that stuff is because the game itself is so inherently interesting & amusing to them that they don't really need to reach for more... if that makes sense.
