Don't need protection since any trade would be after the lottery.

Yeah, I could see them wanting a young potential star like Barrett over the aging Jrue. Or possibly Morant. But then we'd also need to send out salary, which is why I mentioned they might not want TJ and JJ.

I guess it comes down to whether you'd want Tyler for a year with Ja or Barrett or whoever else or to go for Jrue. Of course they'd have to be ok taking Tyler's contract in that scenario.
Sure they definitely could jump on a deal like that if they go full rebuild. Really hard to predict what they will do until they hire a new GM and probably trade Davis first. While it's a possibility they move Holliday at the draft Id say it's probably more likely they move him at next year's deadline. If they get back some real NBA players in the Davis deal I could see them keep holiday and try to be competitive next year. It's key that they have two years left of team control so it's really no rush to move him.

I think we can get NO pick back if we trade them Barret.

Barret + Tyler for Jrue + Clarke would be dream trade. Maybe we have to add Milwaukee pick or Josh?

Yeah, with that trade our defense would immediately be really tough if you had Jrue, Mikal and Clarke all in the starting lineup.

Land No 2 pick in the draft lottery, trade the pick and Ty Johnson for Jrue and their pick. Take Clark.

Hopefully Kawhi goes to the Nets (or Clippers, prefer he stays in the East), and then trade Warren, Jackson, and Bucks pick (if needed) for Serge Ibaka. Raptors have Siakam who should probably start at the four for them. Meanwhile they balance their roster and keep two guys who can play SF. Keep Oubre. Promise Daniels a bigger role off the bench. Keep Holmes too.

Jrue / Booker / Bridges / Ibaka / Ayton
Melton / Daniels / Oubre / Clarke / Holmes + Okobo

Is this the best dream offseason for us? Great combination of defense, youth, veterans, etc?

Zion is back and playing right now on ESPN if anyone still needs to see what the hype is all about.

Ibaka is a 5 now and moving him to that spot has been an absolute revelation for the raps. Can he still switch on the perimeter? Even so, he’s still the Raptors man in the middle. Marc Gasol is probably not so much in their plans for the future.

That's one of the few reasonable trades by value I’ve seen involving Warren on this board though. Everyone forgets he’s on like $10m per year which is extraordinary value for his level of production.

If the report above on the Pelicans being unwilling to deal Davis to L.A. at any time, Then I'd have to believe that means Boston is the front runner.

And IF they're truly willing to make all players other than Irving available (Tatum), then I believe that they'd keep Jrue and rebuild around Jrue/ Tatum/ Jaylen Brown and picks.

So i don't see a realistic scenario in which we move our pick to New Orleans.

Interesting question is would you be willing to trade R.J. Barrett to Toronto for Pascal Siakim IF they offered???And how far would you be willing to go, in terms of adding value IF they asked for a sweetener???

I would, but I don't see why they would. Even if Toronto blows it up, Siakam is still a premier player on a rookie contract who they hold the rights to for a long time. That's not a player I'd trade for a possible nice player.

Zion listed at 6' 6" and 285 lbs. Can he play SF?

If you can't shoot, you shouldn't be a wing

Why would we ever need another SF? We need a PF and thats what zion is.

Zion here would be too much fun.

Johnson/Booker/Bridges/Zion/Ayton?

Or staggered lineups like Booker/Bridges/TJ Warren/Oubre/Zion?

We'd wreck teams every other night, the other nights Josh Jackson/Crawford would make things interesting lol.

There is no universe where jamal crawford and zion will ever wear a suns uniform at the same time, that is my hope at least.

Yeah, Zion is a complete outlier. Just put him on the court with 4 other guys and he'll fill whatever role is most needed.

Brutal shooting from the bench, and not sold on ibaka at the 4 next to Ayton. But overall i'd be on board.

If we swung the jrue trade and drafted clarke i'd be tempted to stay put there. Maybe use the MIL pick and Jackson or Warren for something, but probably wouldn't trade both.

It’s a fair trade that makes both teams better. NO will need to trade AD first. We also need our pick to land at 2 or 3 and need Clarke on the board at 9.
