NBC SportsMark Schanowski's NBA Draft Big Board 9.0
My good friend and colleague at NBC Sports Chicago, Will Perdue, had a chance to watch Morant up close and personal while serving as an analyst for the national radio broadcast of the OVC tourney championship game. So, I asked him to identify some of his strengths and weaknesses.
Will came away very impressed with Morant’s court vision, saying the 20 year old point guard has a unique ability to spot open teammates and deliver the ball in a manner that allows them to get a shot off easily. Morant currently leads the nation in assists, and you have to think he could average double figure helpers in the NBA since he’ll be surrounded by more talented players.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
This is not a strongly written article:
Sir Charles in Charge2019 NBA Draft: Bol Bol isn’t just good, he’s good good
While most of the nation’s focus heading into the 2019 NBA Draft centers around Duke’s collegiate superstars, Bol Bol is patiently waiting to destroy your expectations
It is imperative not to ignore what a prospect CAN do when evaluating their overall ability, which is where Bol’s limitless potential lies. To start, it is crucial to take note of Bol Bol’s insane physical intangibles. He stands at a towering 7-foot-3 in shoes and possesses a 7-foot-8 wingspan, according to measurements recorded by USA Basketball. This is almost the same exact measurement as Rudy Gobert, who has a 7-foot-8.5 wingspan and is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate.
It is truly absurd how these flaws in Bol Bol’s game have been overly harped on when evaluating his potential. The 19-year-old prodigy is a flamethrower from 3, defensive anchor down low, and potential go-to scorer in the post. He runs the floor at an insane speed for his height and possesses unnaturally quick hands. His father played in the NBA for years, so he likely is familiar with the varying nuances of the profession. Oh, I almost forgot that he also dribbles like a wing and pulls-up for jumpers with a smooth, beautiful release.
But sure, let’s just ignore all of these rare qualities and focus on how skinny he is instead.

If he gets a clean bill of health I would take him with the Dallas pick! I think he could be special!

This dude is 6'4" 240 pounds?!?

Although Horton-Tucker is somewhat of a polarizing prospect among evaluators, his ability to create shots for himself and others off the dribble make him an intriguing, if unorthodox player. Not many college players can match his natural ability to play on the move and score creatively. The key to Horton-Tucker unlocking his full potential will be improving his body and getting stronger, which would hopefully help him improve as a defender an athlete—his off-the-charts length helps compensate for his lack of height. If he puts everything together, he could be a uniquely effective player, but it may require a bit of patience.

High risk, high reward. Lots of teams are going to be pissed when this dude becomes a huge star and they passed on him because of fear.
"Trey Trae to Bol Bol for the win!"

Since the beginning I was praying for Cam and Bol. Now I am cooling on Cam and would not mind Hunter. We have some holes at SF and C and the best players at the place we will be selecting fill the need, time to fill some holes.

I've changed my tune, unless lotto luck falls on us I want Hunter all the way, his defense will be invaluable to us and he can contribute on Day 1. IDK who we take with Mavs pick just icing on top of the cake.

Even when Zion was out Cam wasn't that great. I'm out on him personally.

I'm just cringing without seeing cams boxscore vs unc. I want to like the guy but wouldn't touch him.

I actually think if the lottery is rigged, it will be the Knicks but otherwise Adam Silver would be wise to put Zion in a situation with what we have going on. He wants to maximize Zion’s product and what better way that to set him up with the best up and coming playmaker in the league in Trae.
Knicks Hawks Bulls... one of these teams gets Zion and I hope it’s us!

Yeah. I'm trying not to think too much about it because we have a 90% chance to be disappointed, but Zion is just on another level.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
Outside of Zion there is no clear star on this draft, perhaps Barrett but he is ineficient at this point. Time to trade for next year's draft or fill needs in defense, Hunter is probably best fit unless they end with Zion or Barrett or they see something in Reddish. Bol offers high upside for Mavs pick, I am not sold on Culver, Johnson.... Clarke might be my second option

Zion is the pick. There is nothing about that kid that shows me he won't be a Superstar/Hall of Famer. Pairing him with Trae will be deadly if we can get him.

It’s gonna hurt so incredibly bad if we miss out on him man. Adam Jebediah Silver needs to help us out.

Objectively, Zion on the Hawks would be awesome.
If I were Zion Atlanta would be where I would want to go given that guys like Trae and Huerter would complement his game the best.

How would Zion fit with John Collins though?
