I hate to see Coleman go but I wish him well in SF. He is a great player, but he also gets hurt too much.

Falcons should make the trade if its their. Q looks like he will be the next Watt, Donald, or Houston or basically the next Defensive player of the year.

And it seems that all top four draft teams are looking or open to trading down too.

It's a large amount to give up not knowing what he'll actually do. Proven players seem to get traded for packages like the one you suggest. I want him but I hope we wouldn't have to give up so much.

^ I would offer #14 and 2020 first round pick for a top 4 pick. I don't know if anybody would bit but if Murry goes #1, that means Q or Bosa should be their taking at #3 or #4.

^I would absolutely not do that.

Our championship window will come down to:

1) health of Matt Ryan and Julio.

2) Defensive Depth.

I'd rather see us trade back for multiple 2nd rounders...

Falcons re-signed DT Grady Jarrett to a one-year, $15.209 million contract.

It's the value of the franchise tag for Jarrett. A standout 26-year-old, Jarrett will look to have another big year in 2019 for what should be a much-improved Falcons defense that gets back a handful of players who missed large chunks of 2018 with injuries. Jarrett should cash in next offseason.

8-)

Doesn't matter how great your QB is - - Or your running backs. If you don't have those hard working linemen
doing their job, all the other talent is mostly wasted.

Falcons, in my opinion, drafted for their greatest need.

I think we had a good overall draft. Besides the offensive lineman, those two running backs and corners will be given a chance to play as will Cominsky.

Run game should be super strong next year. McGary and Lindstrom are run blocking savants and should bring a dose of nasty the O Line has been needing for some time.

Damn. :nonono:

In Koetter...and Dimitriff...and Quinn we trust.

Using the Consensus Big Board to determine how teams did in the draft

Atlanta was punished heavily for picking players at positions that the NFL has historically devalued (guard) despite the fact the model didn’t judge guard as a need. Indeed, Atlanta signed James Carpenter and Jamon Brown to above-average contracts this season.
