Sign Rubio. Re-sign Oubre. Re-sign Holmes.
When the trade Season begins, jump on the phone with Utah. If they want Conley they HAVE to be sending out Favors. They currently split their PF time up between him and Crowder (With Jae playing 10 more minutes a game than Favors). They also have to send him out just to make the money work (He is the 2nd highest paid player, sandwiched in-between 2 guys they really dont want to get rid of, Gobert and Ingles). Memphis is rebuilding and doesnt have a need for Favors with JJJ around. What they do have a need for is SF, as Chandler is ass and should be stretched, while Anderson and Miles are very very sub-par. Perfect landing spot for TJ Warren! Send them Warren+Okobo+MIL 1st to be included in their Conley trade with us getting Favors back in return.
Rubio/Johnson/Melton
Booker/Jackson
Oubre/Bridges
Favors/Spalding
Ayton/Holmes
Fill the remaining roster spots with our 2 draft picks and a hungry G-Leaguer (Chinanu Onuaku).
Rubio and Favors already have Chemistry with each other, along with Coach Koko. Shouldnt be too hard for them to get used to the system and playing for Igor. We just build upon what we have started doing already.
Favors contact is not guaranteed for next year so Utah could choose to not pick up that last year if they want that 19mil in cap space for a trade or FA. But if he did go out in the conley deal I agree they probably look to move him and I think the suns might be able to get him for less than you even posted. But to make salarys work you would need more than you posted.
Basically to get both Rubio and favors this summer all 3 of Johnson, Warren and Jackson would need to go in some way to make the money work.
The only issue you'd have with inserting both Rubio and favors into the lineup is that would be a bad 3pt shooting team. Youd really need booker and oubre to improve their percentages and Ayton would pretty much have to start shooting 3s or the spacing would suck. Utah has this issue now and I think it's one of the reasons they won't resign Rubio this summer.
And if you get favors I'd let Holmes walk because you'd want to do what Utah does now and play favors at the 5 when not next to Ayton.

I used to like Rubio but seeing Utah fans complain so much about him (especially on a team that’s much better structured than the Suns) has made me realize perhaps he isn’t the answer.
Jazz fans say that opposing teams literally do not defend Rubio and his defender is usually standing near the key to double other players (Mitchell, Ingles, Gobert etc). This could be pretty problematic with Booker, Oubre and Ayton as well.
Why don’t the Suns just go after Conley for themselves? Bucks pick + Tyler Johnson should get it done imo.
My #1 target is Jrue Holliday and #2 is Conley. If all else fails then Rubio is the last and final choice.
