Who the **** advised Maldonado to turn that down? He's probably not going to make $12 million over the rest of his career.

At some point within next few years NL will have the DH- and the Harper contract will be fine. Still amazed to see so many quality players left in free agency

what's funny i read the Bryce harper article yesterday from ESPN and Harper and some others were insinuating that Trout would be a Philly when his contract is up. Trout and Harper would have been a fun duo to watch. Nevermind about that LOL.

Wonder how it is structured. You are talking about a lot of money for 38 year-old player with a lot of wear/tear.

That deal is bananas, but when you compare it to what Manny and Harper (and some other stars) have gotten compared to how legendary Trout is, it's a steal.

What I love most is Boras waited around for months to get the highest ever deal, then Trout blows it out of the water by $100 million.

Sure, but I mean Trout is a way better player. Harper is younger, I guess, but Trout has a better ability to put the ball in play as well as good/elite defense. Harper is just a guy on on defense.

Trout's probably gonna go down as the greatest athlete of my lifetime that I barely watched.

Ugh, what a waste for baseball.

Eagles should take away his season tickets as punishment.
