Its actually less impressive when you look at the complete context. He shot 34 times, played 42 minutes and posted a -9. The Pelicans had nothing else going on out there except giving the ball to Julius and asking him to stat pad.

He shot 20/34 though, and AD wasn't even winning either btw (did he stat pad too?)

AD is a completely different matter on defense and he showed what he could do last season against the same team in the playoffs.
Not saying that they are the same level, Slava.
New Orleans are tanking, Randle has played great as of late and won some games too. He's having his worst defensive season though, that concerns me.

Julius has found his niche as a 6th man off the bench and back up center. However, he's played better even while on the Lakers putting up lesser numbers and while his raw stats with NO look a bit eye popping in some games, he's really the only option they've had on offense on most nights after Davis quit on them and asking Randle to be the offensive hub is not going to win many games.

LeBron James was traded to New Orleans in my dream last night but I had to wake up because I knew the deadline had passed. :banghead:

Julius Randle's teams have gone 105-196 in his 301 career games(not counting his first game in which he got the injury).

He is a career -1222 +/- player. Just think a little bit about that. His teams were outscored 1222 total points while he was on the court in his career.

His teams are 55-93 when he plays at least 30 minutes in games, a very marginal improvement percentage wise from the overall number. So it's kinda the same thing he plays starting minutes or not, he doesn't impact the outcome of the game virtually AT ALL. He's the definition of empty stats and no team who will play him more than 20 minutes a game(backup role) will ever have a chance to be competitive.

I was mocked around here when I said he only gave a **** about defense because he was in a contract year, last year..how's his defense this year again? Saw he doesn't have a market out there so he decided to stop giving a **** altogether.

This is the same that can be said about Russell. He jumped in scoring when Dinwiddie went down and now that he's back he's back on his typical pace. Defense has never been even decent with him however. He's still subbed out on defensive possessions late in games for example.

Randle was never a good defender at his natural position IMHO (PF) however he has the physical ability to guard on the perimeter which is unusual for a guy his size. The few games I've watched this season he's often taking that side of the floor off. Not that he can't but just isn't

Yup he was at his best when we switch everything. He lacks IQ but his physical tools are nice on that end.

I hope you have the same feelings about Ingram who has putrid advanced stats. I won't even mention Kuzma.

Could end up being a solid night for the tank. Washington has already won, plus Dallas and NOP are in good spots.

I honestly don't know if MLB will survive profitably for 12 more years but good for Trout, he deserves it.

*Modern NBA

With the amount of 3s being shot now, 25pts isn't as big a deal as it used to be.

Good for DLo though.
