Riley EMPOWERED Spo to be the coach and stood on that like a great GM/Pres would. The difference between Spo and a lot of others is that they wouldn't do that. This is how coaches like Fizdale get fired from the Grizz b/c players like Marc Gasol kick up a fuss to the front office.

you crazy??? Brendan malone has been a head coach 2 seasons, 1995-96 and 2004-05, total wins 29 total loses 71. Damn fine coach if you ask me. You thinkin about mike malone i think??? Blatt was so good he never coached an nba team after the CAVS.
only good one he had is spoelstra and he had just 2 years of experience as an headcoach. Argument could be made spoelstra wasnt nearly as good then as he is now.
LeBron was held in check by Riley, not Spoelstra.
Some guys still heavily in denial of who LeBron really is, what his "success" actually means and how he "earned" it. Those who saw it through the years have been labeled as "haters", like that can take away from any valid and obvious observation.
- LeBron is obsessed with his own presentation in the public more than anything; more than wins, titles, friendship, loyality.
- LeBron always wants all the spotlight on him. He has never ever been able to share, not in Cleveland 1, not in Miami, not in Cleveland 2 and certainly not in LA. He wants ALL the attention on and off the court, which is why he has been disliked or rejected by any other superstar.
- He has shown to be uncoachable. The best coach he ever had the privilege to work with was obviously David Blatt; a guy who has proven to be capable of establishing and succeeding with his own system, being the master mind of his team. He was driven out of town by LeBron and his posse; the justification usually being a championship that, as every intelligent being was able to see, was more gifted both by the league (suspensions in one game, Curry tagged with 3! questionable fouls in the other) and the GSW than earned (and if anyone earned it, it was Kyrie).
- His ego is f**ked up beyond repair. To this day, he acts like he owns the league. Notice how he subtlety elevates himself over all team mates. He actually has a pillow that makes him sit even higher than his centers, did you notice that? Either he has hemoorrhoids, or its a pure ego/showman thing. He is not able to indulge any kind of criticism. Whenever faced with a critical question he resorts to "i have money and titles, i dont care for your opinion". He actually declared himself the G.O.A.T. to the amusement of 99.9% of the players.
- He is a terrible team mate. He frequently throws his team mates under the bus, now he even does it in public when begging for a trade of 9 young high potentials just to akquire AD. Kyrie had enough of his BS, Kawhi and KD publicly stated they are not interested in playing beside him ("under him" would be more appropriate).
You can continue to live in denial, its a common thing with fans. Just at some point dont forget to change your tune. I expect a lot more stories to break out in about 5 years and by that time, many guys on realgm will be busy deleting their posts from the past 15 years
