Speaking for myself, but I want none of those guys back. Those 4 combined will eat up at least 45 million dollars in 2019-2020 salary, imo.
Other teams might have use for them, but Knicks are still the worst team in the NBA with those 4. Pass! They made no difference. And I'm definitely not going to be paying them more to do what they did.

Knicks are in a tricky situation with frank if he plays well final 11 games his trade value goes up, but if he doesn't do well these final 11 games and his numbers go down his value sinks incredibly . I wished the knicks just shut frank down completely there is a strong possibility he struggles these last 11 games and his trade value goes down.

I don't think it matters either way. The league has a book on him and while there might be some variance between one team and another about what they think about him, that variance is probably pretty slight.
These 11 games aren't changing anything, if he played 40 mpg or 4.
But it'll be closer to 4, so I don't think they'll be this body of work either way.
In any event, don't really care. The entire team sucks and hopefully most of these guys will be gone because of that fact.

Do you really think Frank's value can get lower though? I don't see any team offering any first rounders for him. That's why I don't see the point in trading him for a 2nd round pick. He's just turning 21 this summer. May as well keep him at this point. He only played half of this season. I think giving him 3 seasons is fair and better for the team.
Truthfully, at this point, I think this management is just trying to rid themselves of any remnants from the Phil Jackson regime. Which is dumb, because Knicks will probably use that 2nd round pick to draft a backup guard who is a defensive specialist.

Does Mudiay get love? I hate how Fiz used Frank earlier in the season when he was healthy. The kid should of been getting at least 25 minutes a game no matter how bad he was playing. On a good team guys like Frank are a asset that every good team should want. Let the kid play Fiz. You know there was a lot of talk about how Fiz doesn't like the euro players before we signed him as our HC and he sure as hellz hasn't done anything to prove those rumors might have some substance to them. KP is gone, don't know if Fiz has any say in that but i'm sure they talked to him about it before the trade was made, he wasn't playing Kanter much and the way he handled Frank when he was healthy.
He better play Frank as much as possible when he gets back.

I think team like portland could use him and would trade late first for him because they don't have cap room for hood, layman, curry, aminu, and kanter. I also could see a team like the jazz trading there first round pick for frank they need shooting guard with rubio going to be free agent and also exum is always injured he would be valuable piece. I also think the thunder could use him they don't really have good shooting guards on there team fegurson and diallo are just okay players. Also the thing about the thunder is roberson is injured and hasn't recover frank would work fell with paul george and westbrook in there starting line up.

Re: Knicks plan on exploring trade scenes for Frank Ntilikina
Unless the cap savings is the difference in signing a good free agent, or there's a player late in the first they really like; trading Frank feels like a lateral move. Late firsts and second round picks are normally project picks or rotation players. We already have that in Frank.taj2133 wrote:Stannis wrote:taj2133 wrote:Knicks are in a tricky situation with frank if he plays well final 11 games his trade value goes up, but if he doesn't do well these final 11 games and his numbers go down his value sinks incredibly . Late 1sts are the long 2's of the draft.
They are worse than early 2nds from a salary management vs talent perspective.
We've already turned down 2nd round pick offers for Frank.

I feel like if Frank bulks up a bit, he could definitely be LFT.

yea but not too much. LFT bulked up too much over the last few years and got hurt because of it.

Am I the only one who wants Smith Jr, Mudiay and Ntilikina gone? I'm perfectly happy with Kadeem backing up Kyrie.

As long as they take Knox and Trier with them, sure.

Franks already got the "got hurt" part down, so that's covered.

Back-2-back 30+ deficits by the 4th quarter...No clear pg...and they still won't clear his a$$ for return. His days here are numbered.
