Key people? I'm assuming that to be his dad, sister, and his agent? And his bffs, KD and AD?

Kyrie goes full stupid insulting his teammates again.

He just can't help himself:

"I think that the best thing we had going in that aspect is experience,” said Irving. "So, like, the switch — we know what that switch is. This team doesn’t yet.

"The best thing for us is experience. So, guys have a year of experience and I think we’ve given ourselves too much credit. What that switch is, championship-level basketball, only a few people know what that switch is. It takes time to develop it, it takes experience with each other. And we’ve tried to make up as much ground in the last year and a half as we could.”

No, players in the league need to stop thinking they are better than they are and stop working hard and doing the little things. He's 100% right. I'm actually getting tired of the "crew" from last year thinking they actually accomplished something. They didn't. That's what Raptors' players think, not the Celtics. Everyone wants to nitpick everything to be negative and create this notion of drama. It's truly embarrassing.

He said older player knows when to go all in and when to coast, that's perfectly normal... I don't know how many years old are you guys but someone should learn when to flip the switch and stop going "full stupid".

Doesn't matter if he's right or not, it's just stupid to go back to this theme in the media. No need to even get near the subject, but he plows right in.

Are you accusing me of going "full stupid"?

And yes, it is normal and widely known. But he's already had to apologize repeatedly for having hammered this theme re: his younger teammates in the media.

I like to think that i get on Kyrie when he deserves it, but literally nothing about what he said there is a big deal or a shot at teammates. This is what i mean when i say a lot of fans have already made up their mind on Kyrie and won't budge, regardless of what he does.

The post is totally stupid, not you, and that was simply a “quote” from your post... You are taking an “half-bait” title and blowing it out of proportion because you fear the young players could be not smart enough to understand that what Kyrie is saying is not an offense? You’re implying a way more offensive thing of what Kyrie is saying... Don’t you see the incoherence? Can we just gather and prepare to fight instead of running around like crazy people and feeding media trolls?

What is wrong with our society? Bird used to call out guys all the time. Grow some balls or whatever it takes to make you realize that life isn't perfect and criticism can actually be a good thing. Especially if you are in the world of professional sports and make millions of dollars.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. Kyrie said nothing wrong there.

So you were telling my post to "stop going full stupid"?

I wasn't going off a title, but a quote. And no, I wasn't suggesting the young players are stupid. And no, I don't see incoherence in what I posted. I offered an opinion and analysis. And I take it you are suggesting that that is my post "running around like crazy people"?

WE aren't doing that cause we aren't on the team.

False consensus effect. Don't mean any offense but what you gotta realize is that it's not the same for them. What's obvious to us isn't obvious to them...obviously.

You grow up and the most important thing in your life is a sport. Can you imagine what that's like? None of us here can - or should for that matter, there's other more important things in our lives than a sport and going pro.

For these talented athletes, it gets pretty clear by high school that they are going pro. 16-18 years old is VERY important, developmentally, and when you are being hailed as a future number one pick, future all star etc, you learn to externalize in the media, your value is placed in the media and you grow feeling like it reflects you. It's such a different psychosocial environment than you and I grow up in.

These players were raised to be condependent on the media. We don't know what that's like. That's not going "full stupid" when Kyrie cant help himself. It's just how he was raised in this media-driven age of super stars.

No, he can't refrain from talking in the media. If we were raised this way, we'd likely be similar

You did miss a passage tho and since you are 19 years younger than me(if you are born in 92) I'm very surprised, there's something more important then media nowadays, that's "social media", we are part of the social media and if we freak out the situation can be way more difficult. Everybody knowns the press makes money with controversy (expecially in the US) and you as a pro player should aknowledge and accept that but if regular people bites and amplifies their voice 10000000x it's even worst, the air may become unbrethable and the environment toxic, when in the 80's Isiah labeled Larry Bird as "Racist" how many Celtics fan where raging around the city insulting him? Now we make a big deal and insult our own player over stupid things, like we are LA or PHI fans, I insult my player only when they not try hard in a game (or obviusly if they are criminals). Obviously every NBA player would "kill their parents" to become the GOAT but since they want to make money in the first place they have to behave well in a team environment, every player knows what is written on the internet so better not give justifications to some player to not play at the top...

Yes, he's definitely saving a little something for his first playoffs in green. And maybe a little extra for the RealGm non-believers.

Kyrie is going to be a bad, bad man in the playoffs.
