The problem I saw with the Celts is how they pace Kyrie.

Post game, Jojo said he told Jimmy he needed him to win this game. Jimmy said, bring him to the 4th and he’ll close the game.

Celts on the other hand, had Kyrie trying to get then to the fourth. And on crunch time, he tried to win it for them. Kyrie hit tough shots. But he also died on his sword the last 2 possessions when he got blocked by jojo while slipped on defense and it allowed jimmy to get a good look for “the shot”.

Sure Celts can pace better. But I dont know if there’s many team out there who got several star caliber players and a superstar to get them to the fourth then have one of the best clutch players in the game to win the game in the fourth.

Would love it if Sixers people could get off the Celtics board... it's not a good look...

I am a sixers fan but feel the team was lucky to win this time around. We were trailing by double digits and won when Marcus , Aaron went out . Celtics have too many options to create a mismatch and I don't think we can win a 7 game series against them.

Celtics will represent the east for the NBA finals against warriors.

I haven't seen any of that, but the amount of bitterness that I've heard from their fans on their podcasts has been absolutely lovely!!...."they had to play the perfect game to beat us", "we were missing three players", "the game was a fix with how many fouls they were given", "they are no threat in the playoffs and I would overlook them"!!..blah blah blah. Do those guys not realise that we played them on a back to back and our starting five has only played eight games together? Those boys are really hurt over this

Check the gen board. There’s a thread about asking people to apologize for the sixers.

Man this is outrageous.

Agree that we got lucky.

But I dont see the Celts will be able to beat the Bucks or Raps in a 7 game series that will get them to the finals.

Lucky? Weren't we winning In the Garden and had a golden opportunity with the ball In our hands with seconds to go, only for JJ to miss and the game go into OT? There was no "luck" in this win imo. Baynes and Smart are hardly KD and Steph. We were also playing on a back to back and they weren't, but folks keep ignoring that fact for some reason.

Hayward randomly went off us against us shooting 6-7 from three previously. Is that lucky? Should that game not count as a loss for us?

Can't say that was smart, nice that Ben made that shot over a bigger defender. If there was a switch Kyrie would've been much easier. If anything, with them not switching it made it harder for Ben and good for us eventually, with him actually making the shot.

It would've been smart if we had gotten Kyrie on Ben in that play, but that didn't happen. BB can't win for losing, Ben made a great shot, that wasn't some magical playcall.

The Celtics will beat the Bucks in 6 games or less, if they get them in the 2nd round. The Raptors can beat the Celtics though.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I liked that Brett Brown isn't waiting until the playoffs to show how he's going to play the good teams. The team hasn't played together that long and they are running out of practice time, so he's using playoff rotations in the regular season to get the team identity and the players used to what's expected.

1. Gluing TJ to the bench in the 2nd half of games (except for the brain fart, defensive sub in Charlotte).
2. Going to Jimmy Butler, as the playmaker, earlier in the 4th, than he has previously.
3. Short leashes for Boban, Amir and Bolden based on matchups.
4. Getting JJ Redick off the floor on all opponents timeouts, in late game situations.

And we can beat the Bucks, especially in light of their injuries.

I’m not sure Celtics can win any series without home court. With or without kyrie. They have been average road team all season. Home court is gonna to matter in playoffs. I think it’s second round exit for Celtics if they play bucks or raptors.

Sixers will have a hard time with bucks or raptors as well on the road. I think bucks will adjust as well. Send the hard double team at embiid anytime especially with TJ on the floor. I saw embiid Fire pass to tj and tj doesn’t have the conference to shoot the wide open 3 in the Celtics or recent bucks game.

The Mo Dakhil breakdown of this game on twitter is worth the clicks.
