Yo the line up was 4 PFs and Russell. Dats just crazy to me.

Russell at the start of the season lacked confidence. November it came cuz he knew he had to. January he realized who he was becoming. And now its a very dangerous 23 yo. assassin on the the court.

Down 28, that game is over. On the road, its new NBA rules of how you can and can not defend. He changed the pace of the game wit dat line up. When ya realize how to do that sky is the limit. Stars change the pace of a game.

This year

He did not know how to comeback from a 14 point deficit in a playoff race, he's experienced how to comeback from down 28. He now has the sample to believe they're in every game. Its only happened to 4 teams in the history of basketball in the NBA.

2 classic comebacks ! Those 2 will definitely go in the books. Man what a season it has been, so crazy. Would top it off if we can get an upset.

This is a narrative changing in real time. Magic is being clowned to the point where the jokes are becoming tasteless (I won't repeat it here because its not funny), but the point is, Russell has kept his mouth shut and has focused on what he needs to focus on.

I hope we come out looking to destroy the Lakers.

Bruh...Magic is lowkey running the Lakers into the ground

oh it's not even low key. He's driving them into the ground at 300 mph and counting.

i think all of that is fair game, I have clowned him to no end because I thought when he tried to muddy the waters regarding Russell that was unprofessional and as an elder stateman of the sport he should know better. But I draw the line about joking about him contracting HIV, that stuff is not funny at all. People take this stuff way too seriously man.

Positionless basketball bro...that's the Nets way of basketball:

Ballhandler: Russell
Wing: Graham
Wing: Rodi
Floor spacer Big: Dudley
Rim Roller Big: RHJ

but yeah when Russell proclaimed he was "built for this ****" I don't think he was telling us that, he was telling that to himself. I think dude finally snapped and realized just how good he can be.

Btw, I really liked listening to DLo mic'd up against the Kings:

Anybody know if there's more of that kind of thing, somewhere? That's just about all there is for him on YT. I mean, there's also a little bit of him mic'd up at a Laker's camp, but it's not as interesting IMO.

Actually Russell was looking directly into Kamaze's eyes when he said that.

Love me some Russle. Went to the game in Brooklyn and saw him tear my Celtics apart.

One thing I've liked about Dlow this year is that he knows when to turn it on/off, which was his problem with the Lakers.

Like in the game I went to, he got hot from 3, hit a few in a row, missed a heat check, than started running the offense for others. It was nice to see, and something I've notice in his game this year

Both Caris and Spencer have struggled a bit this stretch, so that's no surprise.

One of them can carry the bench, but when both are off it really places a lot of burden on Russell.

This goes each way too.

If Russell is struggling, Spencer had carried us.

Early in the year, it was Caris leading and Spencer/Russell back and forth.

This offense seems to go when at least two of our guards play well (we can even add Napier here too, especially during Spencer's injury).

Can't recall a game yet when any 3 combination of those 4 (Russell, Spencer, Caris/Napier) all had good games.

if all three can get on the same page the east is in trouble. As is you guys are currently in the 6th seed.

I’m starting to be okay with facing Toronto again. I would rather not have to endure seeing Embiid flop, troll and travel his way through a six or seven game series against us. We’ve historically sucked at defending Tobias Harris as well.

Those numbers aren't shocking, the team goes into the toilet when Russell sits.

I’d be shocked if he did. Missing 3 months in-season before he could establish himself was a huge blow, IMO.

Kinda like DLo last year when he came back from injury and just wasn’t able to put it together for the rest of the season.
