I just looked up Dlo's stats and he's extremely overrated. His TS% is below league average. It's actually worse than Kuzma.

"Four quarters don't equal a dollar in the NBA."

Yeah, an unefficient scorer with bad defense about to become a max player is so much better than Lonzo, Ingram and Kuzma combined...

Lmao, Nets fans are really deluded.

He's not overrated—he's just propped up by those who want to find reasons to mock the Lakers.

Notice how the young Lakers are being destroyed?

If they ever left, they would be propped up similarly—Lakers would be held as fools for trading such "promising talent".

If anyone recalls, D'Russell was viewed as trash during his Lakers tenure.

Dlo is very underrated on this board hes better than young stars like booker and oladipo. Ingram if he reaches his ceiling or full potential is better than dlo but i dont think he will.

Those 3 aren't playing with an elite developmental coach like Atkinson...

DLo is good, possibly a top 10 player in his peak, but I also like Ball and Ingram's potential. I feel like Ingram's potential is even better than DLo's. I'd really love to see Ingram play under Atkinson. I feel like Atkinson can seriously unleash Ingram like no other.

Overall, yes I'd do the trade. Two players with good, star potential > DLo imo. Some of these Nets fans and doubters forget that just last year, almost everyone wrote DLo off saying that he'll be out of the league and whatnot (despite the fact that DLo showed his potential in spurts and inconsistently, much like how Ingram is doing now). Man how soon people forget

Potential is cool but D’Lo is an all-star, likely MIP winner at this pace and capable of leading a team with a winning record. BTW, Nets are 12-16 against the West I believe so that’s also respectable.

Ingram? Sure. He could rival D’Lo in upside and role but Ball? Let’s stop his potential tag until he shows something respectable in general. He regressed regardless of injury. He’s got a ways to go to be a consistent basketball player compared to D’Lo right now regardless of who’s coaching him, IMO.

I hope he stays with the Nets and helps built that team into something good. He definitely doesnt need to be somewhere that Lebron could put the blame on him.

"Inefficient" yeah hes 23 and shoots about the same as Kemba or Westbrook.

And the fact that you say his defense is bad just proves that you don't watch the Nets.

And nobody is saying he is better than all of them combined. Having an all star is better than having a bunch of good players.

These bitter Lakers fans are something else. Enjoy missing the playoffs.

Absolutely not. The Nets have a good thing going. Zero reason to make this deal.

I like Ingram in the right fit, Hart can be a great backup PG, like Kuzma, wouldnt take Ball on my team as a UFA. This trade looks better without Ball who is a distraction, cant shoot and cant even make FT. Like a previous poster said let's stop with the potential talk until he shows he even a smidge.

Don't forget that Ball is at the same situation as DLo was. A toxic locker room environment with no one to develop him to his potential. One of the few coaches I know who can use some magic to turn Ball around is Atkinson. I'd still rather take Russell over Ball 10/10 times. DLo's upside is an offensive masterpiece in the making. You can't teach what he does on the court. But Ingram + Ball (assuming they do reach their potential and become stars) versus Russell alone? Can't ignore that.

2 of them couldn’t make the playoffs with lebron on their team while the other is leading his team into the playoffs without a superstar on the squad.

Yeah Ingram and ball are def worth more lol

DLO is not a Laker anymore so his value is way up there now, probably Giannis/KD territory.

Terrible comment. All of them didn't play a full season together and went through injuries. Let's be logical here.

So OP is heavily implying none of the Lakers guys could make the All-Star team as a replacement for a bench player in the weak Eastern conference, or all of them add up to a player cumulative of that value.

Get outta here.

In a vacuum I would take Lonzo and Ingram. But Lavar Ball is a distraction and I wouldn’t want to take a risk on Ingram’s blood clot, so, no.

And they still played more games together than Ball + Ingram + LeBron did together. + Lakers went through more roster changes and injuries than the Nets did. "Next".
