I voted for Ross, but Fournier and Vucevic both had super clutch moments in the 4th Q and in OT.

Ross.

Fournier played well in extra time. But Ross gave us offense when we were on life support.

This is all Ross! I don't care that some players decided to show up in the 4th, the only reason they were even in the game was due to Ross balling out when nobody else gave a damn. He really should be the only option for the poll.

Ross. The others bounced back and played well when it mattered thankfully.

Ross kept us in the game, but Fournier got us the win.

You can acknowledge good moments for Evan but there is no Sweater Vest thread tonight without Ross. The two votes not for Ross (both to Evan) are either from trolls or typos.

It kind a gets annoying how people refuse to vote for Evan because of personal bias against him.
Guy was best Magic player on the floor.
Ross literally does nothing but shoots, one night he will look like tonight, other night he'll shoot you out of game, that's why his +/- swing in Ws and Ls is almost 35 points.
He played 35 min and had 0 assists. Evan had 6.

I can only assume that you didn't get to watch this one? Ross was easily the best player for us on the night.

Yep the team would NOT have even been close in the 4th for Fournier/Vuc to rack up a lot of points to contend for a sweater vest if Ross didn't keep them in it literally most of the game.

OT:

Evan Fournier makes two point shot (Nikola Vucevic assists)
Evan Fournier makes free throw 1 of 1
Evan Fournier makes 16-foot step back jumpshot
Evan Fournier makes free throw 1 of 2
Evan Fournier makes free throw 2 of 2

Guy scored 7 of Magic 13 points in OT and game tying layup for 110-110 before OT.

Ross just keeps doing his Ross stuff. Taking rushed shots. Once in a while he'll look like this, when he is human torch, but he'll shoot you out of game lot of times as well.
Prior this 4 games winning streak, in 4 games before, he shot 17-54/ 31% FG overall.

It's just speeks volumens that Evan has zero fan votest vets on forum where they litearlly everybody hates him, while he is averaging 15 -4-3 despite having 15 games where he scored at least 20 points.
People use vague data like "team is 5-10 when he scores 20 it means he should not shoot" as gospel, yet if you go to see what happends when other Magic players shoot more you get things like:
6-14 when Gordon takes more than 15 shots
9-14 when DJ takes more than 10 shots
7-7 when Isaac misses 60% of his FGA

it's just cherry picking to make argument for or against xy player.

Guy has bad year, we all get it, but amount of heat he gets for being solid despite shooting struggle and ZERO vests for a year just paints picture of fans on forum who hate him for no reason.

Ross was our offense during regulation when we couldn't score. David Steele said numerous times "thank god for Terrance Ross tonight". I'm glad Evan did well in overtime but we wouldn't come close to overtime without our rally which was due to Ross.

The fact that you can't give Ross any credit maybe you hate him? Maybe you have some personal bias? It just speaks volumes...

So who producted more points:
31 points 0 assist guy
or 27 points 6 assist = 14 additional points ) 41 points total produced guy ?

clearly 31 is more than 41 because **** logic,right?
It's not taking credit from Ross but giving it to somebody who had great all around game and who pulled Magic 9 of last 15 points.

This isn't about anything else that has happened over the course of the season or in recent weeks. This award is about who was our best player last night.

We kept feeding Fournier the ball late in the fourth and in overtime; as we always do. On the whole, I thought he had a very good night offensively. He was very poor at the defensive end for most of it though. He wasn't even on the floor for most of our crucial stops down the stretch in regulation and in overtime as he was subbed out due to either foul trouble or general ineffectiveness.

He started the game on Holiday and did a poor job. He got blown by on one occasion and completely lost him under the basket on another. Dorsey hit a wide open three early in the game because Fournier crumpled under the basket after a drive and never bothered to head back down to the defensive end. Later in the game, Fournier started to match up with Dorsey. I thought he did a much better job than Augustin (who got massacred by Dorsey), but it didn't much matter as Dorsey kept scoring. Fournier committed a bunch of dumb fouls and got a technical for arguing after one of them that very easily could've cost us the game. He committed a monumentally stupid foul on a 3-point attempt by Dorsey in overtime when we had a three point lead. His best defensive play of the night was when he clobbered Valanciunas from behind but didn't get called for it.

We would've been down 30 heading into the fourth if not for Ross and he was huge in closing the gap during our run in the fourth. I'm struggling to think of any mistakes he made all night aside from getting the ball stripped by Delon Wright at the top of the key, which directly led to an easy basket.

Fournier would've gotten my vote for second place, but Ross was clearly better last night. I get it though. I tend to think that what Ross brings to this team is overrated. For all the praise he has gotten this year, he seems almost as likely to shoot us out of a game as he is to help us win it. He was terrific last night though.

I get what you’re saying and I do agree that collectively (myself included) we have been really critical of Fournier this season. Sometimes overly critical.

But last night... the Magic were just completely lifeless and dead. They had no energy, especially defensively, and were teetering on the brink of getting blown out numerous times. Yes, Fournier (and Vucevic) were better later in the game, but Ross pretty much single handedly kept it from being a Memphis laugher win.
