Solid win. Now need to win at least one game in the Big 10 Trny. Maybe two to get 5th seed.

Lack of interest in this team. I think they'll beat Belmont and they have a shot against Yale or LSU (coaching situation). But I don't have the confidence in them winning two games. I do have confidence that they will be outcoachedf.

MD's down 26-14 with 8:30 left in the first half. Embarrassing and totally expected. There's no reason for their offense to be this bad. Turgeon loves deliberate half court offenses - which simply do NOT work in college basketball.

Halftime, and Cowen and Ayala are a combined 3 for 16. I'd say Turgeon needs to re-think his entire offensive approach, but it's too late. He's thrown away what should have been a good season. And there's no reason to think he's even capable of changing. Having said that, MD could still win this game if they get hot from 3.

Phenominal start to the 2nd half by the Terps, but Cowen is almost single-handedly keeping Belmont in the game. And Windler is a helluva player.

I actually picked Belmont to upset the Terps for that reason . Maryland is just too slow and turnover prone, terrible combination against an uptempo 3pt shooting Belmont squad

Cowen has taken 15 shots and has 5 points. Windler's taken 17 shots and has 29 points.

I wonder if Sticks and Morsell will be teammates next season?

Cowan will bounce back next game...right?
Bye bye Beal.

The good thing is Cowan's probably going to do a lot better. The bad thing is Morsell and Sticks probably won't do as well. But LSU is a team that's in disarray - it's a lucky matchup for MD.

I think Maryland has a couple more games before the loss.

This is improbably the most likely way for the Terps to lose Sticks to the NBA.

In the 1st half of the LSU game, all 3 of Cowan, Morsell, and Sticks have... sucked. Hopefully, the 2nd half starts out like the 2nd half of the MD/Belmont game.

That winning shot by LSU should have been called a walk. He took 3 steps. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, it was missed, and UMd goes home.

Refs were definitely not biased for Maryland.

Unlike Diamond Stone, I think Sticks is going to be a good NBA player even if he declares this year.

Rashard Lewis

That's who Jalen Smith reminds me of.

I dont think refs were biased, with the exception of the last play where they swallowed the whistle. Refs called a good game, more or less, for both teams. If they plan to throw the rule book out the window for the last 15 seconds or whatever, then they should let it be known to both teams, instead of letting the teams guess. Otherwise, it always favors the offensive team in such situations. A walk is a walk, and a carry is a carry. That LSU player did both.

Anyway, Terps should have been playing zone all through the game, not just the 2nd half. That coaching adjustment came too late. Turge should have made that change when he (presumably) looked at tape on LSU the day before.

Maryland fans usually whine about the refs but I think they are so worn down by Turrge, they gave up. Yeah, you could have called it a walk in slow motion but the refs didn't see it in slow motion. They would have lost in OT. Just not good enough.
