No one has made shots or given effort, but ultimately this team didn’t come out ready to play yet again.
At some point I refuse to believe that OKC just has bad basketball players making dumb plays.
I think the rotten part of this team begins and ends with the coaching staff.
I was watching/skipping through this game and that "Mhh, this kind of contrast in style vs trash teams reminds me of something" and then it came to me: It was the same last season. In the 2nd half of last season, we were playing some garbage teams and barely beat them and I remember thinking "Well, this is what it looks like when a team is actually coached". The Grizzlies are throwing a bunch of G-League players out there. They were without their two best players. And yet they were moving the ball, they were moving off the ball, they were attacking off the dribble. All those things we simply don't do. And we haven't been doing that for four straight seasons save for these random stretches where we suddenly play differently. And that's not on Westbrook or George or Schröder or Patterson or Adams. That's on the coaching staff and on the coaching staff alone. It's a **** disgrace, that's what this is.

I bet his positioning, screen setting, and blocking shots before they happen was really good tho. Probably was Grant and Donovans fault that he played like a bitch again. Guy doesn't demand the ball at all, can't generate anything for others and has to play exclusively in the paint, on both ends.....for 25 mill a year! He's not a problem tho

The first 4 words of this statement render everything else worthless.
I’m not a fan of the poster, but there is a bunch of truth in the fact that a guy makes $24 million only to score 2 points in today’s NBA. I love Adams, yet he can’t turn in performances like this.
It's tough to score when the team is too stupid to get good shots inside and instead just opts to take more and more 3s each game. We took 36 3s compared to 23 non-2nd-chance attempts at the rim. In 32 minutes, Adams had one (!) non-2nd-chance attempt at the rim. We are so poorly coached, we have actually become too stupid to get our starting Center shots at the rim.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said
