Zion would fit right in with my lineup!

My pick MIGHT be a trade piece to plug my hole at PF, so the better my pick the better my leverage.

The New York Knicks made an offer to the Sacramento Kings around last year's draft centered around Kristaps Porzingis.

The Kings were drafting No. 2 and could have moved Fox while reorienting their team around Luka Doncic.

The Kings would have had to either send an additional asset beyond De'Aaron Fox or take back unwanted salary from the Knicks.

Sacramento ultimately decided to keep Fox and draft Marvin Bagley III.

Fox has become one of the league's best young point guards, while Porzingis eventually was traded by the Knicks to unite with Doncic as members of the Dallas Mavericks.

"I like Luka, but we didn't want to overload with players who -- maybe they don't have the exact same characteristics, but if you want to develop the guys you have, you have to make sure they have room to develop," said Vlade Divac.

Is that IRL quote by Vlade at the end essentially saying Luka doesn’t have a high ceiling?

I interpret it as him believing Fox & Bagley have a higher ceiling than Doncic & KP.

And that is coming from a fellow Euro legend...

Frank is so gone. They wanted every other guard in that draft. Interesting that they were trying to trade KP at that time as well. Kinda blows up the idea that his trade request came out of nowhere.

Particularly Fox. Think about it...they were rebuffed last year at the draft but checked in AGAIN this year dangling KP only to be denied again. One of those “are you sure you don’t want to?” type of things.

Which leads me to this. If Perry is that in love with Fox, doesn’t it make you think he’d have the hots for Ja?

Maybe. But that's clouded that I'd go Ja and ask questions later at 2. Ja is a better passer but not the defender.

If I had to guess I think they are going to try to develop DSJ over drafting Ja (if Kyrie isn’t coming). I believe it was Marc Stein who said that the Knicks were trying to get DSJ all season long. This also lines up with Jason Kidd’s son who said that Steve mills wanted DSJ in the draft. I remember posting that last year.

But yeah, Frank is gone

I still think the front office rates Fox over Smith Jr. Especially considering Perry passed over Smith Jr. for Fox. Now yes, Phil did pass over Smith Jr. for Frank against Mills' wishes, so I do think Mills values Smith Jr. But my thing is if Perry likens Ja to Fox, I think he'd have no 2nd thoughts on sending Smith Jr. packing if he rates Ja as a favorable PG prospect. Perry is all business and cold like that.

We'll see how it plays out though. But you right...Frank is toast! And I kinda don't even want Kyrie so halfway hoping if we don't get in position to draft Zion I am cool with Ja as the pick or standing pat with Smith Jr. and going after KD + Kawhi or KD + AD + Holiday.

I digress, back to BaF.

Ya I think they rate Fox higher than DSJ as well. It looks to me they tried hard to get Fox and couldn’t get him so they shifted their focus on DSJ. What this means to me tho is that they want a modern point guard and both of them fit that mold. Frank doesn’t.

If we move on from DSJ -sheds tears- and draft Ja Morant I cant be mad cause he looks like a stud.

Again you can talk me into top 10 in this draft but no way top 5.

I would like to get him at 12, please and thank you.

He'd be a great fit on your team! Once you get that number 1 option you'll be back on the map. A lot easier said than done though

No doubt. This team was supposed to be way worse this year. Just need to kidnap Swiss and steal Kawhi and I'll be good though.

Facts. I think once playoff seedings are set then the trash talk will begin. Right now it’s just hard to say who’s gonna be playing who, but I believe we’re all watching very closely lol.

Nice run by your team in the second half of the season by the way. Y’all really did what you needed to grab control of that 8th spot, and only a game behind the Hawks for 7th. Once playoffs start, anything can happen.
