Re: Chuma Okeke
I'm surprised I didn't have a comment in here, because I remember talking about him in this forum somewhere. Anyway, I was planning to correct myself, because I was not high on him before, but in the last few weeks I have boughten in with him. He's in the same archetype cluster to me as Cam and Hunter (and maybe Nwora?). Wouldn't normally be a lottery type player given his lack of athleticism, but in this Draft, I think it's defendable to have him up there.

Re: Chuma Okeke
I think Okeke is a value pick in the early 20s of this draft. He does a bit of everything and might be able to show more with the ball in his hands were it not for Auburn's guards monopolizing possessions.

Re: Chuma Okeke
There are about 4 forwards that are in the tier that will be drafted after the lottery to early 2nd round depending on how teams value them.
Rui Hachimura
PJ Washington
Grant Williams
Chuma Okeke
Any of them teams can fall for early, but I have a hard time seeing any of them go after early 2nd round.

Hachimura is underrated. He could really help a team in the playoffs and could be a spark off the bench in that Montrezl Harrell role. Remember when Harrell was in college he was known for pretty much only being an undersized rim runner. Hachimura might take some time to discover his role, but he has great tools to work with.

Rui is the only NBA 3 on those lists.

I see Rui as a 4 and I meant Power Forwards

Re: Chuma Okeke
This guy has my interest because of a potential 76ers hook-up (I don't really concentrate on prospects outside of who the 76ers might potentially draft, especially this late in the season). I've got a few questions: can he be a SF in the NBA? How ready is he to contributing next season? And who are the other players you see him competing against at his position/s for a draft slot?
I'm looking forward to seeing him against the UNC guys in a few days time, along with how the Oregon D stands up against UVA in this sweet sixteen round of games.

he can probably play both 3/4 depending on who u have on the court with him and what the match up looks like. he's in the Trevor Ariza mold.
i'd say he's more of a 4 than a 3 in today's NBA tho.
i think Philly is in a great position. there a lot of good options for your team towards the end of the first.

Re: Chuma Okeke
^Maybe if others move past him but at this point I am confident Okeke won't last past 24th or wherever CLE, Portland are and Spurs also seem like a good landing spot around 20
Unless he does more to raise his stock I'm guess Okpala is more likely available for Philly than Okeke

Re: Chuma Okeke
I like him a ton. I am not completely sure on his fit. He is a lot like Al Horford but without the athletic ability that Al had and he is has the feel of David West but without the length that he had. Kinda poor man's blend of sorts. I still expect him to be a rotational piece. Just not a high end starter. Maybe some Thad Young in him long term.

He's not 2nd jump elite explosive yet but he's not lacking in explosiveness overall.his iq is evident every time on the defensive side. He is also vocal and a leader.
I see him definitely being an NBA starter

Thad Young might be his calling card. There are 29 teams who would love to have Young and many will start him but it took Young time to get to that level. At first, he was trying to be like everyone else, but he knows his role and his impact.

Re: Chuma Okeke
Okeke has a little more SF in his game and Thad has a little more pf but there are similarities to the pacers starter when he came to the league.
I give the bbiq edge to Okeke though at same age

Yeah I like him, would be a nice pick up for a playoff team in the later 1st round.
