a team that is desperate for defenders, should give up on a 20 year old kid which you probably would get very little value for in the open market? His value to the knicks is much greater than his trade value even if you don't like him.

Ntilikina returned from a 24-game absence Friday but reinjured his groin Sunday and is out indefinitely. There are eight games left, and Ntilikina could be traded on draft night to open cap space to potentially re-sign Emmanuel Mudiay, a Fizdale favorite.

Fizdale admitted Ntilikina’s struggles this season, both on the court and trying to get on the court, but still branded him “a winning player,” if not a true point guard.

Ntilikina is last in the NBA in effective field goal percentage, a stat that factors in 3-point field goals. He’s shooting 28.7 percent from 3-point range, which Fizdale knows must improve for the 6-6 Frenchman to be a stalwart as an off-the-ball wing because he’s proven an effective defender against bigger guards.

“It’s been a tough year, man,” Fizdale said. “Obviously just alone with injuries, that part has been a roller-coaster for him. He’s had his ups and downs obviously with his performance. But I asked him to do a lot of different things this year, and he took them on all well. With Frank, it’s going to be a measure of when we fill in these gaps, Frank is a winning player. He knows how to play the game. The biggest thing is to get his health right to set him up to have a great summer.”
But Flat Soda sicks and sells Snake oil, though. So we can't believe this.

Frank has regressed. No rush to trade him but he is not a rotation player on a decent team. In a few years perhaps but he must improve his terrible shooting.

For the guys who support Frank returning. How would you guys feel if we ended up with this lineup after the dust clears this offseason:

1: Holiday
2: Ntilikina
3: Durant
4: Davis
5: Robinson

vs. this one:

1: Irving
2: Dotson
3: Durant
4: Williamson
5: Robinson

Which puts us in better position for a ring?

If we gunning for a ring then I think the second lineup is much better than the first imo

The first one is impossible. We dont have salary to give back NO for Jrue and Davis contracts.

The second one is the dream scenario.

How? Davis and Durant with Holiday is much better than Williamson and Durant and Irving.

Can't we simply absorb Holiday's contract into one of our max slots?

I had said something similar so that we can unleash DSJ to be the awesome scorer he could be. The fact that DSJ is a solid passer should only help.

I just hope Fiz is true to his words and gives this pairing a longgggggg look, even if it’s rocky at first

DSJ works best next to another primary ball handler like a Ntilikina or a Doncic. He loves that kind of role.

depending on how much was left exactly, yes. but holiday has value. you would have to pay for him and davis separately. without zion we can't even get davis alone probably.
