The curt tone of the goodbye makes me assume it's something bad. Maybe he ran afoul of the law. Seemed like he did an okay job from what little I heard, not AAA stuff but not a catastrophe either.

WTF

They made a big deal of him joining and he was clearly a big part of their marketing plans. Yeah there must be something crazy going on here.

^ This. Surely they would have been inclined to let him finish out the year had they merely made a decision to go in a different direction. Feel bad for the guy; he was passionate about the job.

Well.

I hope its because he took a better job then, its hard to believe he did a bad job. That Lamb GW call was as good as any call on radio

I knew Chris in college, we were in all the same radio classes at App. He's a big dork. Obviously there's still a chance its something bad but I doubt it.

if its not something bad I would be shocked even if you leave on bad terms normally most companies will put on a happy face publicly

Wouldn't be surprised to see it turn out to be some silly victimless offense like solicitation. Seems like a straight arrow so doesn't strike me as a drugs or domestic violence type. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will leak soon enough. I liked his radio work

Prostitution isn't a victimless crime.

Yeah, I almost made a quip about how he must've made a pass at Ashley in my first post but figured it wasn't in good taste. Seems impossible at this point but I hope the truth is less brutal than our speculation, he seemed like an okay dude to me.

Must've been something pretty bad to get canned so quick.

Creeping on Ashley or one of the cheerleaders is definitely a possibility.

It should be legal

I think it's safe to say that we, the fans, missed Kroeger in the last game vs Toronto. I imagine he's going to top his call on Lamb's previous game winner.

Is Chris Kroeger dead? He hasn't even logged into social media since it happened.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
