Shapiro doesn’t care about defense. Everyone knows Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez are terrible defenders.

Ol Aaron "at least one early base runner per inning" Sanchez is still with us, unfortunately.

And 30 year old Kevin Pillar is our only “good young player”.

Turnbull is annoying, all these outside pitches soft, need to go oppo or wait for a hanger.

I wonder if Drury will become our regular 2nd baseman when Vladdy comes up?

3 walks and an HBP in 5 IP makes for a very Aaron Sanchez sort of start, though the Ks are definitely encouraging.

I'm beginning to suspect that the Tigers might not be good.

Schad, I think the phrase you're looking for is "even worse than the Jays, somehow".

Um, completely. We were ranked last in defense and have possibly one of the worst front offices in baseball. They are a bunch of losers who don’t value defense.

This is a car crash of a rebuild with no meaningful prospects other than vlad and bo and not much else.

Yeah all the scouts who rank our system in the Top 5 got no clue what they're talking about.

Um, thank double aa for vladdy. Without him and Bo, our farm is trash. Try again.

I have a particular fondness for the English catch-all pejorative of "pants". The Tigers are pants. I don't know what that means, exactly, but it's unquestionably true. None more pants.

Seems like Jays are intent on making Galvis the every day SS this year. I kind of hope Gurriel beats out Drury just because of their respective contract status. Perhaps we don't make Vladdy play in the field every day though. Lots of opportunity for everyone this year unless Jays get impatient and call up Bo.

Mark Shapiro presided over four winning seasons out of 15 as gm of the Indians. All with constitently bad defences. And awful attendance because he treated players like pogs.

Last year we were last in defence with dwindling attendance.

It’s a joke to think Shapiro is good when he is pretty consistently garbage. Check the facts before trying to bring that weak stuff.

Hudson isn't so bad, career ops just over .700 against both lefties and righties.

Bo, who was brought in by the current regime. And yeah, if you throw out the top two prospects in most organizations, their farm system would be much worse. Though ours would actually be more below-average than trash even without them; Jansen, Pearson, Groshans and Pardinho are rather well-regarded, and the system is deep.

Should it be better? Yeah, it should be up there with the Padres, because we should have traded all the damned things over a year ago.

Galvis sounds better than Galveece.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
