I have no idea where you get your news
Doc has alternately babied, sheltered, encouraged and kicked ass on Shai every step of the way
and BTW also gave Shamet a starting job
Spare me I remember the bull crap responses throwing his potential and growth aside because Doc had a Unstatable fetish he loved stroking. The front office fixed that mess and anyone could see the terrible play of Bradley and Doc having a smart ass remarks and being a hypocrite about being productive got in the way of SGA. Sam deserves the credit and the coaches for pushing for SGA to start. Regardless of anything else Doc can call every other player the heart or soul this team wouldn’t have had half the success with SGA.

I think you mean "without," but no. Shai's been a good contributor but also has had major bad streaks, which led to a cut in PT. He shot 19% on 3s in January and 28% in February. It hasn't been all peaches and cream. Doc has done a masterful time developing him, including giving him the starting job early and moving Pat Bev to the bench. Shai landed in a very good place, and to give Doc the blame for every loss but prop other people for every success is a bit disingenuous.

Spring cleaning day here at Chez TVD. Missed the game after the 1stQ, intending to watch later on VCR. But a quick look at my Twitter feed [Justin Russo @FlyByKnite, @TomerAzerly, Farbod Esnaashari @Farbod_E] and Shai was all over it, one of his best games as a pro.
Checked in here at home, and saw who was getting the credit.
Oh well. The one fact that should be unstatable is that Doc Rivers does not, and will not ever, take orders from the front office as to what happens on the basketball court. End of story. He will quit first. Doc Rivers has plenty of other coaching options in the NBA. Giving Shai a starting role this early in his career was Doc Rivers' decision and nobody else's.

Great win, once again giving PT just where it's needed without blowing the W:
---Nobody played more than 28 minutes
---Chandler got 25 minutes, mostly at SF, where we have our biggest hole
---JaMychal started at PF, where he's trenching in as Gallo's backup: 8-9, 2-2 from distance, 18 points, 10 rebs--WOW
---Temple 18 minutes, 13 points, a team best plus+17
---Ty Wallace got what is now his usual 8 minutes
---Even found Rome 12 minutes: only 2 points but plus+14, 4 assists, 1 TO
---Trezz got a perfect 28 minutes, and Zubac [16] would have got his 20 except Motley got those 4 garbage minutes
---In a light 23 minutes, Lou with a ho-hum 18 points and 6 assists [LOL]
---Sham with another boring plus+11, only 3-8 [37.5% from distance] [LOL]
and the star of the game was only plus+7, because Doc's still playing him some with the 2nd unit, to give them a little more juice
which is cool
22 points, 9-12 and 3-3 from distance and 8 assists vs only 1 TO
that last part is the best, IMO
Over his last 8 games, Shai has 47 assists versus only 8 TOs
ratio of almost 8 apg-to-1 TO?
Now that's a PG!!
[I was gonna do Shai's last 10 games but he had 7 assists and 7 TOs in those other two, so excuse the statistical cherry-picking]

I missed the game. Looks like it was a good one to build some guys confidence.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.
