OKC should have a 1st every year now. They own their own this year and in 2021. Their 2020 is owned by Philly, but 1-20 protected and that seems unlikely to convey. Their 2022 is owned by Atlanta, but lottery protected and that seems highly unlikely to convey. They have no 2nd round pick this year and assuming they keep those two first round picks they will have no 2nd round pick in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025.
Thanks for the clarification. I though we have no pick because we had nothing to offer at the trade deadline. Now i see that we couldn't trade pick, not because we don't have one, but cause of the consecutive rule.
This is good news. Draft seems deep (although I'm not a expert, i barely pay attention to college basketball) and our record isn't that great, maybe we could get someone decent so i don't have to watch Nader next year.
This is anything but a clarification. OKC owes the following picks
2020 1st (top 20 protected), currently owned by Orlando
2022 1st (lottery protected), currently owned by Atlanta.
So it’s possible these picks don’t convey and OKC has all of them going forward. Kizz however is projecting what he thinks will happen in the following few years with the team. Basically he thinks they will pick 1-19 next year and miss the playoffs by 2022.
There is no way to know this is true. However, Kizz is always doomsday on the Thunder.
