Actually on this topic, I remember reading in a piece earlier this year that both Russ and PG have handshake deals with the Thunder to trade them if things don't work out. Have to think that an 8th seed and first round sweep is things not working out

I'll try to find it it was in a piece about Kawhi resigning.

I don't know exactly but I think we could get a very nice return for PG13. A lot of teams (Clippers/knicks/Lakers) with ton of cap space this offseason and some will miss on free agency. It's very difficult to get an elite SF and I think their value is way higher than a top point guard.

Wish we could send him to the Lakers (since he wanted to be there in the first place) but their young pieces are terrible. They have some picks though. Maybe Boston depending on their FA/trades.

I prefer to get a lot of picks and make a real rebuild instead of getting some young players in the middle of their rookie contract.

Which source? Everything about the Thunder is so confidential that I'm not sure if that's true...

How high would a Bulls pick have to be for us to agree to Porter + their pick for George + our pick? I think I'd do it if Barrett was on the table but I know that's probably divisive given the pro and anti Barrett factions.

Trade George?! You guys are nuts. The thunder finally got a superstar to actually chose to stay in okc and now people want to trade him after he has a career year?!

I'm not a follower of Sam Presti's "Sometimes public perception is more important than on court success" mantra, but there are a couple of things you just don't do. The guy chose us. We owe it to him to make some changes and try to get better. Getting a competent coach and Presti finally realizing that shooting matters would do wonders for this team.

I don’t think it’s a given that George still feels the same way about being here that he felt last year.

I’m desperate enough for just about anything but I think we could do better. I don’t really think the bulls want George but GarPax has done stranger things.

Doesnt matter how he feels. Okc have him for his prime. You wait until his last season if things arent working. You have him for two more seasons after this.

Finding a player or players that match what PG does is very hard. Finding a coach that is as good as Billy isnt.

You move the coach and all other players before you look at moving George.

So you really think George is going to be happy to stay here if we continue to go out in the first round? Let’s not forget the reason he was traded to begin with,

He's under contract. He can go talk about his feelings to his therapist, but he has a job to do as long as he's under contract.

You are missing the point.

Or even worse, trading the robes/pat expirings for waiters

Waiters would be excellent.

I feel like most casual-type fans in OKC like him enough where Presti could spin that, and the local media gassed him up a ton as well.

Marvin Williams would also be an interesting trade target for either Dennis (if Kemba leaves, who knows what the hell the hornets are doing) or for the Robes/Pat expirings. Both would save us some money and he'd be an okay bench piece.
