You also have to question how serious these injuries are, we got 2 of our mini big three lite out, and then u got the bucks in first place and Gannis playing with a bum ankle still. I remember the days when Wade had injuries and still played to try to give the team a chance to win. Either it’s worse than they let on, or they are withholding players for God knows what reason.

Sadly, KO plays PF, and we have no other traditional PFs (unless we play Bam at the 4, but it's not optimal b/c teams will dare him to shoot jumpers).
But the argument for "earning time" definitely gets debunked when KO got 40min despite playing a bad game.
With that said, my theory on why Whiteside doesn't get minutes:
Spo doesn't like traditional centers; he likes Cs who can guard the perimeter and cover a lot of ground. Remember, he's the only coach in the NBA that would ever start Joel Anthony (or even give him significant PT or play him at all, for that matter), and being able to cover a lot of ground was one of the few bright spots for Joel Anthony.
When you think about it, Bam is a superstar version of Joel Anthony.
Also, Bam is stuffing the stat sheet, so he's earning the time (it also helps that his teammates actually look for him on offense).
But Bam's stats doesn't feel as impactful, because other teams just rape the paint whenever Whiteside is out. With Whiteside, we give up jumpshots but, more often than not, that's a whole lot better than giving up points in the paint.
Either way, Bam is the future, so the writing's on the wall for Whiteside, even though I prefer a Center with his game him over Bam's game.

Im of the thought that if you can give 10 minutes suit up and go play. Last I heard Rich was in a walking boot but no reason for Winslow to not be playing

100% agree with this, I’m ok with j rich sitting out as a bone bruise on the heel you really have to stay off it for it to heal, the Winslow one is very questionable as to why he’s still out on these important games, if our intent is to make the playoffs our play off started about two weeks ago and every single game till the end has a huge weight on whether we get their or not. And this is not an attack on Winslow as for all I know he wants in and it’s the heat staff that could be putting him on ice. It’s just very frustrating to see

Their injuries are probably worse off than we think. When Dragic went out early in the season, we though it'd be a week or two, it took way longer. We didnt know Dion needed surgery last year till he actually ended his season and elected for surgery. Then there was the Bosh fiasco, getting any kind of update from the Heat on that was a pain. The heat for some reason don't like being honest with the severity of their players injuries. I don't like that they do that and it doesn't reflect well on their medical team. If a player is out be honest and give us a real timeline, instead of this dtd nonesense.

Bam's got a pretty nice form. I always think it's going in when he shoots it.

The Heat are giving up just 40.3 points in the paint per 100 possessions to their opponents when K.O. is on the floor which is best on the team and 7th in the entire league among the 279 players that have played in at least 50 games (the 6 above K.O. all play for Milwaukee). Bam is at 41.3, J.J. at 42.2 and Whiteside 42.5 all of which are top 25 among those same players. The thought that they are getting killed in the paint without Whiteside just isn't true.

i dont think bam will ever be a superstarversion of anyone, if we get lucky a star (and at the 4)
yes hassan has a better game , but he is not a team player and that is why he will always be a sub

He needs more reps but is probably on a very short leash on that spot

I agree, there is only so much you can do to stop certain players in the paint, people have made careers and gotten huge contracts on it, what is killing us to no end is that it seems like every player turns into Ray Allen and steph curry from three against us. That’s what’s really killing us this year, and we have absolutely no snipers, our closest 3 point bomber at this point is justice Winslow.... glad it’s happening for em, still feels so weird saying it considering how bad he was at shooting
