This seems like the worst of the season or at least close. I can;t watch the game. What happened?
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.

I read some interesting stuff about Doc and Lou. Did you guys read that stuff? About when they talked when Lou arrived?

Zubac needs to play more the defense went from bad to extremely bad with him off the court

Doc basically said he didn’t have to try on defense just be in the right spots lol

Overall defense sucked and the vets on the team all played poorly and I mean all of them lol.
SGA and Shamet did well enough early and Zubac got going as the game went on.
We need to run more plays to get Zubac and Shamet more buckets early they go on these extremely long droughts not getting the ball or looks. I know SGA was aggressive and got a ton of his own but man even if we need to stagger them more they both need more touches

DONNIE MAC: This is one of those that you don't even watch the game tape.
Like I said, Brother Era, this was the wrong hill to die on. And we didn't

our top 4:
Gallo only 24 minutes
Lou only 23 minutes
Trezz only 23 minutes
Pat Bev OUT
the rookies were made to suffer
Sham--35 minutes, 11 points, minus-21
Shai--33 minutes, 20 points, minus-8
Zubac brought back in late [for conditioning?]--20 minutes, 5 pts/8 rebs, minus-8
and Lou is problematic vs. HOU guards
14 points/7 assists and a team-worst minus-26 tonight in 23 minutes
Clips 34-14 when Pat Bev starts, 13-18 when he doesn't
Doc is not full of spit when he calls Pat Bev our heart
but forget the guards
Zubac too slow
no match for Capela's 24/15/plus+24
give me Portland with 2 great guards but Enes in the middle
we could cream those punks

Agree completely but we gave up 68 points in the first half. And then 67 in the 2nd half. End of story.

Those full units didn’t work out well at all and need to stop. Shamets high negative rate can be explained with him running a lot with the second unit but he wasn’t getting the ball so he’s watching Lou shoot.
Shamet had 9 points at HALFTIME on a night he went 4-7 but played 30+ minutes that’s a lot of floor time for a shooter not to shoot.
Zubac started off slow but he was starting to pick off the lob plays and smother Capela by the third. He such a vital part of making the defense go Faried and Capela just abused Harrell all night and he was able to stat inflate late game.
There is a reason Harrell was a -20 like the Bucks game our bench has struggled. We need a athlete that can hit shots and put the ball on the floor like House Jr plays for the rockets. Chandler looked old and slow all game

Well if you'd have been coaching I think we might have only lost by 20. ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯

Yah, that's why the Grizz gave up on him
otherwise they'd already have re-signed him instead of kicking him to the curb
for better or worse,
Doc is his biggest fan
his new Jeff Green, LOL
stretch 4
as a Clipper, JaMychal [not Jeff] Green, who is also 6'9"--
50%/42% from 3, 7 rebs ppg

let's give the man a break for the time being bro
JaMychal has won the 8th man spot behind
the 5 starters +
Lou and Trezz

This blowout may have been a good thing. Guys might have been getting a bit over confident. I saw an increase in some talking with the press. Hopefully they realize they have to work hard. D Antoni teams have these nights when the shots drop. Need to make Harden defend.

That whole scenario was just strange to me. Lou saying Something like I don't want to play defense while meeting with a new coach?
At least know I understand Docs mind set a bit more. He said Lou will not start because he does not want him out there vs other teams starting SG. Also said he did not like the matchup of Trezz vs other teams starters.

I like JaMychal on the team and still feel like he should be back next year. Had his worse game as a clipper and he’s waiting for a kid to come it’s understandable but it did happen. I’m sure he will bounce back
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
