September 13th it is. I can definitely live with that, even though it'll be pennant season. Looking into the game info, some pretty intriguing info on how guns will work depending on the manufacturer:

Atlas: Step 1: Hit your enemies with tracker tags. Step 2: Unleash a hail of Smart Bullets that track towards your targets. Step 3: Loot!

Hyperian: Aim down the sights to take cover behind your weapon-mounted shield and keep your finger on the trigger for increased accuracy.

Torgue: Switch between regular and sticky-projectile fire modes. Stickies do more damage if a bunch of them detonate on the same target.

Tediore: Toss your gun like a grenade to reload, then watch it pursue a nearby enemy as a fully loaded version digistructs in your hand.

Jakobs: Deliver devastating critical hits to enemies’ soft-and-sensitives, then joy-puke as your bullets ricochet towards other targets.

Maliwan: Toggle between two elements, charge your weapon, and deal guaranteed elemental damage with your finger glued to the trigger.

Vladof: Augment these rapid-firing, ammo-hungry guns with under-barrel attachments including tasers, rocket tubes, and additional gun barrels.

Dahl: Toggle between alternate fire modes depending on your play style, your predicament, and your predilection for bonus damage.

Now THAT's what I'm **** talking about.

I've never seriously played any of the Borderlands games. Maybe about 10hrs total into the entire series. Think I'll go back and run through them before the new one launches.

I'm at 0 hours, but I'm going to buy the Remastered version that came out today and I just bought the Borderlands 2 Handsome Collection. I know what I'm doing this weekend!

Hmm...maybe i'll do PS4 for the 1st. Does any of your character stuff transfer from the 1st to the 2nd or could I play the first on PS4 and the 2nd on PC and not lose anything?

Btw, hilarious PSN name

Each game has different characters. I'd have to pickup Borderlands 1 on PS4 to play that with you but I'd probably be down.

Aww you're not one of those Epic/Steam dudes are you?

The whole announcement today should have been about BL3 and instead it was 99% Steam dorks bitching about the platform, like it makes any kind of tangible difference in actually playing the game.

This isn't even like something where Tomb Raider is an Xbox One exclusive for months and gamers have to decide whether or not to shell out hundreds or wait. Anyone with a decent PC can just download Epic's store for free. 15 minutes for creating an account, entering in some payment info, adding friends and boom. You're playing the game. After that there's almost zero difference between Steam and Epic.

It's absurd.

I will get it launch assuming we hear the features are not stale. I anticipate PS4 to play with friends (shooters are the only games my game-playing friends will play), but if they're not into it I'll definitely get it on PC to mod.

Either way, will happily play with all y'all playing on whatever platform I get.

I don't care what platform I own something on. Epic launcher does suck, though.

It’s pretty simple, I’m not obligated to buy anything from anyone. Epic is a bad third party launcher right now, currently lacking things like cloud saves, for a single example, that do matter. You want to lose all your Borderlands 3 data to a single crash? So yeah, I can wait six months to buy it somewhere with a better experience.

Supposedly they have a roadmap to address their substandard features, so we’ll see where they’re at in six months, a year from now.

I have officially logged over 100hrs in PoE this league and I feel borderline embarrassed. Granted, a solid chunk of that time is leaving the game up idle for trades.

Almost finished with my first year in Stardew Valley. Completely hooked now. Part of me wants to start over and "do things right" from day 1, but whatever.

Winter is a grind to get through but I'm using it as time to reach lower levels of the mine. Found out the hard way that losing all of your health in the mine makes you forget like 15 levels or something, that sucked.

I gotta say I'd probably be having a hard time without their Wiki.

had a lot of fun with stardew valley but was never very good. never knew what to really do and always ended up so tired my days were cut extremely short.

Never tried borderlands. What am I missing? I am enjoying divison 2 and the show for now. Must play more odyssey as well, that game is so fun!

I’m assuming you play Division 2 on console, but if your on PC and want to play let me know. I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much but I’m having a ton of fun. Level 11 I think and want to keep going.

Yes console. I'm level 10 or 11, playing very sparingly at this point. I played a lot of the first, this has been more of a weekend title so far.

Borderlands offers the best looting experiences IMO. Otherwise you’re looking at smooth gameplay, awesome art style, decent humor and story, awesome co op experience, and just overall TONS of content. Not just with DLCs, but it’s easy to sink 100s of hours into the base borderlands game if you so choose.
