Can you elaborate for someone who's never seen him play?

You guys are sleep. Langford playing through a thumb injury changes everything.
I don’t get it. (Some of) Y’all are on that scrubs (Reddish) jock but here you have a real NBA player/scorer with defensive potential who’s only knock is that he couldn’t shoot consistently. Now we know that it could’ve been due to a hand injury. Man...what ?!

This just isn’t true. He’s a very good iso player, very good pull up shooter, VERY good off the ball, and he’s no more raw-er than any freshman out there. Probably one of the more polished behind RJ. He’s not DeRozan at all. He’s more creative and fits the modern NBA much better.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
We could end up with Zion and another lottery pick just as much as we could end up with the #9 pick and just one pick.
The ideal for me is a top 2 pick and Dallas pick sticking with us.
Zion or trading Ja could be a massive coup for us. It could give us a chance to get Mikal/PHX 1st 19 and a pick swap for 2020 for Morant or WCJ/CHI 1st 19/favorable pick swap in 2020 for Morant.
Add that to our Dallas pick, we got a major chance to gain another asset to our Trae/Omari/John/Kevin/Bembry grouping.

In defense of Langford Easyroc is right he did have a hand injury which may explain his inconsistent outside shooting. I didn't think Langford was assertive enough. If he stayed in school one more yr healthy could be a top 5 pick if he works hard. For the Hawks right now no I prefer other players.

Lol! He is nowhere close to anywhere near as polished as R.J.
I don't think they are the same players. (DD and RL) I just think they will peak on the same level in the same role. #1 opinion scorers who really aren't true stars but can play in the all stars. DD had more offensive potential for me but RL has more defensive potential as well as a #1 option long term. Both are raw.

I agree with that too! He could’ve been MORE assertive as well. I think it’s a matter of playing on a veteran team who just wasn’t making it a priority to get him involved. I also think the coach should get the can for not taking that team to the Tourney at least.

I've just started looking at him for real but let me just say, I doubt the Hawks bring Langford in at all. We'll see who is brought in but I will be very surprised if he comes in, which is why while I've thought of him, I haven't seriously.

IQ wise, knowing where to be off the ball, movement. Yes he is. He’s got craft and creativity with the ball. He absolutely is. You need to go watch some more. RJ is the better player and better athlete, but Langford checks boxes and again..blows most other freshman out of the water. Again, he’s more polished than mostly all of the other freshman in this class.King Ken wrote:EazyRoc wrote:King Ken wrote:I agree with Guaux Hawks. Not sold on him. He is more of a ball stopper/play finisher offensively so yeah..he doesn’t fit the Hawks mold of P-D-S, but if he goes late lottery like he’s being projected...he will end up the steal of the draft.

Depends where he goes. Guys who can be all stars and #1 options have traditionally been top 10 picks.

Give me two high-volume, low efficiency, no passing, no defense, ball stopping chuckers.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Prep
Mo question Reddish as got skills but their shown in flashes. Why is that the 1 million dollar question. How can he disappear for long periods of time. I doubt it is the system and if it is then perhaps Reddish needs to play better more consistently to be a go to player? He seems non assertive. You got to want it and be hungry which are the biggest doubts about him. How many players do well in the NBA without being assertive? The camps this off season will mean alot in Reddish's stock. If he can't find the need to be assertive there I don't know what will light a fire for him.

When Duke pace was fast and they ran, Cam was getting up shots and he was just as impactful as R.J. when the game slowed down and he became more of a speciality, he just didn't have a role that fit him anymore. He is a rhythm shooter more than a spot up or movement shooter. Those types are all about volume. When Duke couldn't get him in volume, he just struggled to get going.
You can just have him stand and shoot. He needs actions. At the same time, he needs to be spoon fed as well. He is a tough fit for teams like Bol Bol but Reddish for us is a perfect fit like Kevin is.

NAILED IT. With our pace, and Trae dishing, Cam will flourish. Imagine Trae, Kevin, and Cam flying down the floor at you with sniper rifles cocked. Choose to defend the 3-pt line, Trae/Collins Oop City. Collapse the defense, 3 40% snipers will mow you down from deep. It’s unstoppable.
