No, the reality is the Magic torched the Hawks.

Vucevic has been a hell of a player this season and it will be fun to see where he goes next season. He's clearly looking for his final max contract in a range of 4y-100M or 5y-120M.

Vooch's timeline does not fit with timelines of teams with young cores (ATL, DAL), but he fits much better with semi-veteran teams surrounded with 25-27 y-old guys like SAC or BRO. I wouldn't rush to sign him to ATL unless the price is right.

The ATL@ORL game was tough to watch from the very beginning.
Orlando whooped Hawks asses early on and last three quarters were just worth of garbage time.
There was no D on that Hawks team tonight. First unit finished with -30 +/- rating.

The Hawks went in there and did exact what we wanted, get that L to breathe a sigh of relief. Now, let’s “play hard” again on Sunday at the Bucks (just because I’m not sure what the implications are of a tie with the Mavs ) then just beat the living crap out of the Pacers to finish strong with everyone’s desired 30 win plateau and 5th in the draft position.

Ps Trae gets in 2 more games and that’s a full 82/82 for the rookie of the year.

We might have to sign Vucevic for no other reason than to keep him off our ass. I’m so sick of dude. It’s like he don’t even go that hard and still dominates.

Vucevic is the one guy I think we can attempt to steal away. 4 years Max. He will tun 34 at the end of that contract which is perfect timing. Draft two wings to go along with Trae, Huerter, Prince, Collins, Vucevic, Bembry, Anderson, Bazemore, Carter, Adams, FA PG?, Len, Spellman, Plumlee, and that is a solid team to go with next year. We will have to cut some people loose with the addition of two draft picks next season. Watching Schlenk maneuver around that will be interesting.

About the game: Orlando's length kills us even when at full strength.

You guys already have Len and Dedmon. I like Len, he actually got the better of Vuc at least once when he was with the Suns.

Dedmon will be an UFA, and Len works best as a high quality backup and emergency starter. Hawks either need to sign a star C, trade for a young stud like WCJ or JJJ, or slide Collins over if Zion is drafted. Also wouldn’t hurt to draft a rook C this year as Alpha Kaba is still overseas and a work in progress. Hayes, Fernando, Bol, Bitazde, and Porter come to mind.

Bol or Fernando. If we are looking for the most upside possible, I think these are the two players we swing for the fences for. I also think if we end up with the Dallas pick, trading down to draft a center is a strong possibility. There will be a couple of teams trying to move up for Garland and White.
