4/5 - Thunder vs Pistons

Post#1 » by Pillendreher » Fri Apr 5, 2019 5:50 pm

Just 8 more games to go and we can finally focus on the offseason. Jackson will probably drain 5 3s today.

If these fools have any brain left, it's still all in their hands to avoid GS if they want to. We actually have a pretty favorable schedule the rest of the way. All the games, if they decide to play, except the Houston one, are highly winable. There is even a chance to catch the Clippers for the 6th seed...

I really hope we somehow will end up not playing the Warriors in the first round. A win would help a lot.
I have some hope we will win this one.

That most likely requires winning out. I find it hard to believe OKC can do that. SA has a very soft last 3 games and they hold the tie breaker.

Still four minutes until halftime.

Blake Griffin: 25 points, 7/10 FG, 5/8 3P

Griffin with 31 at the half while shooting 6/9 from three. Either he cools off and we win this one semi-comfortably going away.

Or Blake goes off for 50+ and we either win or lose a tight one.

Dominant thunder performance so far. Nice to see Schroder playing like a 6MOY since the all star break. If we get PG back to 100 GSW will be destroyed.

Adams coming back into form at the right time.

Russ looking very westbrook out there.

Grant seems to get hot at the end of games. His shooting has been so good to watch.

Blake Griffin: The Greatest 3pt shooter of his generation

I was just glad I was able to watch the game and actually enjoy it. A lot of their games recently have been like pulling teeth so a fun game is a welcome sight.

Not sure about this Raymond felton taking minutes along Schroeder thing. I mean nader has been horrible, but I don't know how well that can possibly play out in a series against Den/GS.

First good win in weeks. Less suspect rotations, more passing, more PnR, more movement on defense. Griffin making everything he threw up was what kept them in the game. Once that stopped, they had no chance.

Why aint we seeing Diallo ?
He is fast enought to provide some transition offense with the bench, and is extremely lenghty to provide some steal % on bench unit.

If he played in this 20-30 games, he'd be ready for 10 minutes off the bench at 2-3 spot ...

It felt like we were passing more, but we actually made less passes than our season average - crazy!

I think this will go down as one of Russ' career best highlights.

On possessions Blake Griffin finished, the Pistons had an ORtG of 163. On possessions anybody else finished, the Pistons had an ORtG of 88.
