I'm glad Doc brought the champagne out to celebrate making the playoffs like it's the Finals. This team is looking like fools' gold lately and is still in desperate need of some actual coaching.

Worst loss of the season. They will probably be the 8th seed now and have to play gsw. I really hope they get the 7th though- they might be able to win 2-3 games against Denver

Hey, at least we got an epic picture out of it.

I actually went to this cluster **** of a game.
For most of the game, the Clippers would stumble their way into a close game with the Lakers back half rotation, then snap out of it for 5 minutes and build up a lead. In the first half I figured for sure they’d put together 10 good minutes and blow them out. Later they started to press, they were trying but just couldn’t get into a consistent rhythm on offense, and gave up too many easy shots on defense. I think JaVale had 5 dunks.
And once a game is close deep into the 4th quarter, the talent differential no longer seems to matter as the lesser team believes just as much as the better team.
Caruso was somewhat amazing tonight. Was Shamet hurt? I have no idea why he wasn’t in the game the last couple of minutes when we needed 3 pointers.

Ramona reported after the game that the Lakers had Zubac’s quote about taking a shot at the Lakers on their locker room bulletin board.
Zubac’s a young player but the veterans on the team like Beverly, Lou Will etc need to stress to these young guys about not waking up sleeping giants. Just play the game especially when you’re a young unproven player on a rookie contract still.

Was awkward then.
Is awkward now.
Yikes.

True. But this was also all the young [and old] Lakers had left to play for. Never gamble with a man who has nothing left to lose.
All the starters finished in the plus.
The bench guys were given full play
Wilson Chandler 15 minutes minus-15
Jerome Robinson 14 minutes minus-14
Thornwell 5 minutes minus-9
and that was the name of that tune

What is going on with Wilson? Some nights he looks promising and others he looks like a shell of himself.
Why did Zubac only play 18 minutes?

No hell no that’s an excuse Zubac came out did his job and then some. Yet again there was no reason for him only to play 19 mins and as the usual Doc Rivers and his horrible rotations finally bit him.
Doc’s not going to personally take the blame but this was 1000% his fault when how in the hell did you lose when all the starters were in the positive? His terrible rotations and infatuation to play Harrell and Williams these long stretches cost this team the game.
We would of won this game if Zubac played plain and simple. It’s fitting Doc stares off like a prick when Caruso attacked the rim twice and no one was there to alter or block the shot because Harrell couldn’t contest.

Even when he hits shots they come at the most meaningless time. He needs to be out of the rotation he’s slowing the second unit down.
Doc is going to Doc

I wonder if its age or injury. Wilson used to be a really solid guy defensively and offensively.
I hope Doc only goes 8 deep in the playoffs. Guys can play more minutes.
Hope about the backcourt defense comes around again.
