There are a variety of ways that the author of this thread can and will unwittingly impact the outcome of the poll. I highly doubt that adding the "illegitimate" options will have any impact on which player ultimately wins the vote.

I voted for Ross. Vucevic had a really good first half, but struggled in the second half and wilted down the stretch. Fournier had a good night and some timely baskets, but I thought Ross was equal in that regard and better at the defensive end. His closeout block near the end of the game was huge.

this might be the only context "that's the way we've always done it" makes sense though.

if every year they've changed up the criteria and rules for oscars, the awards wouldn't mean much. all it's value is coming from the tradition.
