Wow, I certainly did not expect this headline tonight.
It's odd that Michael and Magic were both transcendent players, but neither can seem to ever make good FO moves.

So okay. So could this mean Jeannie is pissed off about Klutch’s antics and felt Magic wasn’t in control enough? Or was she mad they didn’t make the playoffs? Or both?

Looks like the first good decision Magic made as Lakers president was firing himself

Lebrons going to demand either being traded to Cleveland OR Miami.

Pretty much this. Magic is hearing that no one wants to play with Bron, and just say I'm out. Lakers should just hire Rich Paul as GM.

What? The evidence of why he left are in Woj's tweets and in what Oram said. Woj hates Lebron and Klutch..Had they been a big reason as to why Magic stepped down he would have gladly reported it.
Dude was not commited said the Ben Simmons story made him look like the bad guy and said he was happier when he wasn't the president of Lakers basketball.

Lakers are far better off than when Jim Buss was running things. They have Lebron, tons of trade pieces, and a max slot. I mean yeh, the Zu trade was garbage, but I think Magic is being made a scapegoat for Klutch. Don't blame him stepping down.
I believe LeBron was coming to LA no matter what and if you take that away what has Magic done exactly?
Him stepping down like that (+that WOJ tweet about his commitment) says it all about his work
He took on a job he couldn't handle on a whim and left the same

Never should have been hired in the first place. Finally the Lakers made a right decision after this disastrous season.

So, ruins the culture, signs one year deals, trades Russell and now "nope I'm out". Wow.

Good on Magic. That's why respect is due to the man.
