This is the biggest front office clown show since bryan clownagelo. What a disaster for the lakers. No more jim buss and mitch as whipping boys, looks like Jeannie is way in over her head.

Come one down Ty Lue and David Griffin.

It's not even offseason yet and Lakers drama already in full force!

So who does Lebron bring in to replace him?

Westbrook made Magic resign

Magic has always needed to be liked and being a GM made that probably impossible for him.

Watching this on TV he's just going in, couldn't sign shooters because you could only do one year deals, like all he said before he's admitting it's a lie.

Props to Riley for not dealing with it.

I know people have short memories with the NBA, but did this many people really forget that this is totally on-brand for the Lakers, regardless of LeBron being there? LeBron certainly heightened the attention and drama, but this is all Lakers style chaos, LeBron or no LeBron.

An Unbiased Fan wrote:Don't think he did a bad job. The plan was to sign 1-yr deals and sign a max guy this offseason, but Klutch messed that up.

At the end of the day, other stars aren't flocking to play with Lebron.

Magic sucked at his job long before LeBron came to town, but by all means, tell us how it's all lebron's fault.

I think it's because he can't bring himself to fire someone. He's always been the nice guy. He probably never has had to fire someone in a professional setting. Firing someone is not an easy thing to do. With him knowing how much Jeanie likes Luke, it makes it tougher.

Given the timing that Luke would probably need to go tonight, he probably just couldn't do it...and knew if he couldn't do something he was planning to do, he should step down.

Thats good and all. But thats a historic franchise he brought down with him. I think he was attracted to the flash and spunk of being a President, and never realizing it was a job that required difficult decisions. Way over his head.

PhilJax - Jeannie . . the reunion.

Come on. Let’s all be honest. Phil as GM would be just too good to pass up. Soooo much entertainment value.

What a pathetic exit

It’s actually pretty cowardly. I thought Magic was this shrewd businessman with all these successful companies - how can he be afraid to fire one dude? It doesn’t make sense.

No major free agent coming to the Lakers... and remember Magic's promise... if he cant land a major free agent in 2019 he will step down..... maybe the space jam 2 news was the indicator
