How do we know that Pelinka is a bad GM though? A lot of these moves were a lot more Magic than anyone else. I wonder how he would be with more autonomy.
Pelinka is Hated league wide lol. He was a cutthroat agent before being a GM

On one hand, I am happy to see Magic leave. But on the other hand, I've enjoyed how much of a joke the Lakers have been, and I'm afraid they will get good again now..

This is a surprise. He didn't even stay to see his vision through. I wonder how this will effect free agents coming to LA? Also, what does LeBron think of this?

I don't. He loves playing bb and stands to make $120+m over the next 3 years just by playing. He isn't retiring. Plus all the sacrifices he's made over the last 10+ years have been to have the longest career he possibly can. People are wildly overreacting right now.

To be fair thought, Russell's potential wouldn't have been realized beside LeBron. LeBron ball is not good for young player development.
When was the last time younger players had significant development beside LeBron?

of course not, but tnt can't name any other executives and they figure hey the lakers can get who ever - right?
Shaq was being really annoying with all the things he was saying just then. He was getting so defensive about the Lakers being a mess. Said that guys that chose not to go there don’t want to win and that stuff. Even Candace annoyed me with her bias and I usually really like her.

So, who does Buss bring in? Phil? Mitch? Kareem?

I do respect magic for one thing though, he went after his happiness. He was clearly unhappy and felt like he can't do the job at his best.

Magic:
"I want to go back to having fun,"
"I was happier when I wasn't president [of the Lakers],"
"I'm a free bird, and I can't be handcuffed,"
"This is a good day."
As per the espn article lol
