Couldn't agree more. Can't even face his boss/friend before getting in front of the media? Wow, to me that's shameful. And then to say that she can trust him...almost hilarious at that point.

Magic Johnson had a three-hour meeting with @JeanieBuss yesterday, per Johnson. They discussed the direction of the organization. He gave no indication he no longer wanted to be part of it.

6:37 PM - 9 Apr 2019

He reaallllllly must felt a way about things after that meeting to step down the next day.
this is tooooo much haha

Magic basically explaining word for word why he stepped down.

Stephen A Bitch: DID LEBRON PULL A POWER MOVE? DID LEBRON HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS?

I think it's naive to think part of it wouldn't also be the lebron situation, we had leaks recently of magic wanting to do things differently to how they played out but being forced by lebron into making moves. maybe it's not the key thing and lebron probably has nothing to do with magic leaving but you'd have to think he is part of magic's problems

This is what i think. Lebron had no problems dealing the core for AD which i was against.

Lebron gets blamed for trying to trade the core for a superstar. Plenty of fans were on board with it saying BI and ZO would never come close to AD's talent. It didn't happen so now it's up to Lebron to rebuild trust with his teammates.

Everything else is a Magic **** plenty of evidence that proves it before Lebron came.

Did magic really bring in Lebron or did Lebron just come on his own. Overall i would give him D for his tenure, he got rid of some bad contracts. He drafted decently but that it. His trading negotiations and trades were terrible. I think we still have chance land max star FA. Hopefully kemba or irving.

Everything he said in his presser was he wanted to fire Luke and didn’t want to make Jeanie mad. He doesn’t have the stomach for job and wants to go back to his old life.

Bingo.

most likely guess we will what directon they go now.. Rob has to be gone a well too right?

Not necessarily. Jeanie picked Rob so unless she is not happy with Rob or the new President of Operation wants his own GM then I think Rob still stands.

We shall see how quickly Jeanie moves. This is a total 911 moment. Magic sure messed this up. He should have given Jeanie, Rob and LeBron the heads up before blasting his emotions on TV.

Was the right move but unfortunately a year too late. Trading Russell will haunt them for all of LeBrons tenure. He was the PERFECT complimentary all-star to James on a rookie contract with no where to go but up. What a disaster.

It's best for the Lakers in the long run but I can't believe Magic did them dirty like this. Just straight up bounced because it was hard and he didn't like it. Right before free agency.

Getting rid of contracts, and drafting is most of his job though. Well, Pelinka's job. As a figurehead, Magic did fine. I don't think he was ever much of the brain behind the scenes.

As soon as I heard the news, this was the first thing that I thought of

They must know that basically no big times FA's are coming, or at least they believe that no one is planning on coming at this point. He is being a complete coward and bailing before the July 1st fireworks, or lack of fireworks happens.

If no one signs July 1st with the Lakers, I hope they don't forget about Magic and roast him.

I could have got LeBron to sign with the Lakers.

That was as easy as selling a ham sandwich to a fat guy.

Who outside the desperate Teams wants Lebron right now?

Who are the Teams Lebron would want to go to?

The only reason why he would leave is because no good FAs are going there, only thing that makes sense.

The offseason hasn't even started, so how would he know that? Sure you could guess that some big names probably won't go there, but someone might.

Magic gave his reasons for leaving and I believe him. He wasn't having fun and wanted to do other things.

Magic will always be a made man here no matter what. Bird did a trash job with Indy for years and no one said **** . Dude needs to feel loved and at this point in his life he doesnt need to turn heel . Delivered Lebron , fk it let the man live . Not like he pulled a Prokorov and gutted the roster and dipped back to Russia or something . Still in good position, just need to pick a real direction and stick with it . Not sure who they have in mind. Id throw some money at a guy like Tom Penn if he wanted the gig
