In short, for #2 seed we must beat Minnesota, and dump Houston to #4 seed Portland must beat Sacramento in Portland.

Clippers are #8 seed, except they beat UTA and Spurs lose to Dallas at home. Oklahoma needs to beat Bucks in Milwaukee (Giannis rest?) to take #6 seed if Spurs beat Dallas.

Most probable scenario for Nuggets are to face in the 1st round Spurs, and in WC-SF to face Oklahoma (or Portland).
But if Bucks beat Oklahoma, we will face Oklahoma in 1st and POR/SAS in the 2nd round.

CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT:

When tomorrow Sacramento - @Portland game starts, MIL-OKC game will be already over, and if OKC wins and reach #6 seed status, what if Portland doesn't want to be #3 seed and play with OKC in the 1st round, a team which beat them all 4 games this season?

and go against Utah who they cannot match up in size without Nurkic. They are not in good position at all, Utah with current form would demolish them, and even if they passed them they still have to go against GSW in 2nd rnd which is auto loss. 3rd seed has better prospects for them going into playoffs

OKC has some scandalous loses this season, but at the end of the day, peak-OKC this season is clearly higher than last season because of the career-best season from George, Grant improvement, and Schroeder seems more useful than Melo. There is a reason why they swept 4:0 Portland and Utah both! Utah on another hand didn't improve this season as expected, actually, they look to me even weaker this playoff than last season playoff thanks to starting PG Rubio injury. The only reason why Portland would more prefer #6OKC than #5UTA in the 1st round is if they dream about Conference final. With #3 seed if they survive 1st round they will face Nuggets (most probably) instead of Golden State if they finish #4. But with Nurkic injury maybe their only goal is 2nd round, and not even dreaming about eventual WC final.

Every team has scandalous losses - Nuggets fans are painfully aware of this because we seem to have had far too many over the past several years; but we've done better this year - although we still lost some games that should have been easy wins. I'll cut other teams slack and if someone tries to manipulate their final positioning, so be it. Regardless of Malone's denial, it sure seems like Denver tried to manipulate their final positioning.

Doubt they'd want to voluntarily go into the GSW bracket

and anyone that denies that fact is not only a liar but a fool that thinks anyone believes them :wavefinger: however, anyone that says they aren't willing to matchup with the Warriors would also be a fool, that's got to be the goal --- as long as they admit they want it to be in the WCF, I like that approach

:curse: Those ungrateful B***s (I mean Blazers)... just two years ago they are done as a serious competitor in West burning in the salary hell when we mercifully decided to save them by giving for expiring Plumlee more talented Jusuf Nurkic under rookie contract and 1st round pick which turned into decent Zach Collins. Thanks to Nurk they finished #8 on WC (just a single win better than #9 Denver), and last and this season they finished as TOP4 seeds. And this is the way how they thanks us!?

Now is big question will OKC try to win Bucks (without Giannis) at all. Losing they can escape Houston and play with us. But in that case Spurs will be #6 so maybe Portland will still try to beat Sacramento, considering their game will start when the game in Milwaukee will be already over!

Denver takes the 2nd seed and Houston drops to the 4th seed. Not too bad a night!
