You are correct that the Magic traded the Cavs-second to the Sixers.

That leaves the mid-40s pick. At that range, the Magic is looking to draft a 2-way player or a Euro-stash. Might as well go with Mr. Upside on that one. High schooler Jalen Lecque is exactly a player I could imagine.

Tremont Waters from LSU declared. He could be a fantastic fit and should be available where it appears we'll be drafting.

In the mid-40s?

Not sure how an undersized PG can expect to be a lottery pick in today's NBA.

Word is that Langford had a thumb injury that was affecting him all season.... If that injury was on his shooting hand then that could somehow explain the not so great shooting...he's about to have surgery on it

All of those names intrigue me at the 16th pick.

If Bol Bol somehow plummets.... what would you'll think at 16? hahaha... "Can he play shooting guard?" JK

Draft him an immediately trade his rights.

For example, the Magic could trade him San Antonio at a probable 18 for Bol Bol's rights and the right to swap firsts once some time over the next two years.

The Sixers "Process" approach to the draft, after all.

Except that we aren't drafting in the lottery. As of right now.

So: the Magic's first-round pick is #17.

Good, nice trade value.
I really see zero reasons why team should draft and keep player this year.

This is the kid we need to get. Should be able to give you reliable bench minutes straight off the bat, and could become a really good player in the future. Can shoot, can handle, can finish, has shown some really crafty moves on ball, makes great passes, well trained in finding and cutting through lanes, and on the other end he gets his hands in lanes and is a suprisingly good weakside help shot blocker.

Book it - he'll be considered one of those late draft steals by the end of his rookie contract.

Depending on Fultz's secret prognosis, DJ's excellence this year, and the win that was scooping MCW off the trash heap, I don't believe PG is still a glaring need...we can have the luxury of best available wing scorer available (or move it in a pkg)...that's a nice luxury

NAW, Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro, Romeo Langford. A lot of good players could be available for us at that spot.

He'll slowly creep up boards post combine and I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the 13-20 range once it's all said an done. Dude really has grown a lot over the last year at VT and it would be awesome to have a Hokie in Orlando!
