Remember Divac is the same arse clown that cost the Kings a NBA title by smacking the ball straight into Horry's hand and he of course hit the game winning shot instead of just collecting the rebound

I can't blame Divac for the slap. The game is hectic and you aren't processing thoughts when a play moves as fast as it does.

He's a center, the only thing that should be on his mind is to rebound

Brook Lopez did something similar recently

Wow, I did not expect Bickerstaff fired, he did a solid job on the Grizzlies. That roster was not good at all.

I'd be afraid to give him a long term deal. Maybe he is looking for 3 years 40 mil. Or 3@35.
Being 33 and coming off injury, he'd be a big risk.

Same. I also thought that Dave Joerger did a good job with the Kings and they finally turned the corner, but Divac axed him as soon as he got his GM extension from the Kings.

He was really inconsistent this year. He could go out and give you 20/5 one night and end up 2/4 and 9/2 the next two nights. I understand the drop in Assists as Wade was on his farewell tour and handling the ball a bit more than in years past, but Dragic's stats have seriously been all over the place this season. Take a quick look at his Game Log (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3423/goran-dragic), its kinda crazy. Even his shooting, one month shooting a very respectable 46% and 40% from 3.....and by April he's at 37% and 29% from 3. I didnt watch enough HEAT games this season to be able to tell how good his defense was (I cant imagine it was that solid), so i dont know if i would offer him a 3 year deal if he did decided to opt out. It would have to be something real cheap, like 3years/$30M or something (Thats $12M more than what he would make if he just opted in, so its like he is getting his $18M for next season, and $6M for each additional season).

Gotta think the Grizz will be looking even harder to move Conley now. They will probably wait to see where the lottery balls fall, but a deal between Phoenix and Memphis could be done today if they wanted.

One thing to keep in mind is we have a very injury prone team. If you sign a guy like dragic (who i love) is he going to be able to help carry this team when the injurys pile up or is he going to be in street clothes with them?

I didn't watch a ton of Heat games but the times I did when Dragic was playing I really wasn't impressed. Seemed to be a step slow; now maybe that was just the injuries but it would be concerning to sign him to a long term deal. I don't actually think he will opt out though.

IF we have Kokoskov as a HC next season I would be confident enough to give him a long term contract. I think he can be efficient and well motivated.

Something like $42M / 3 years can be fair.

There's just not a lot of money out there for Dragic anymore. I'd be fine having him back on a one or two year deal for like 10 million or less. Don't really think he can find more than that on the market, but he can still do a lot of things above average. I'd rather have Dragic than a lot of names that get thrown around. Theoretically his game should age well, so it might be worth it to take the gamble that this was just a down year due to injury. But he's taken noticeable dips in his 2pt% every year since he left Phx, which was one of his biggest strengths in his prime. Like you said though, he probably opts in.

There was a time this offseason - before the Anderson deal - I was willing to do I think Ariza and Anderson for Dragic and James Johnson. Suns would have gotten a PG and a PF.

I think they need to go younger with Tyler Johnson and Kelly Oubre added to the mix. Maybe Dragic at PG - but still think I would prefer a guy like Collison. Granted, if he opts out, he is turning down 19m so he better know whats out there for his sake.

I think 3/30 makes sense because to me Collison is better and is probably around 3/30 - if the Pacers do not sign him

Dragic killing the spurs in the playoffs back in the day has to be one of my favorite suns memories.

Too bad he’s not the same player

Do you honestly think that Collison is better than Dragic?

Collison is a better on the ball defender, but other than that I think Dragic is on another level.

He had an injury this season, but he was healthy and on track at the end of the season. He played pretty well when healthy.

No, Tyler will gladly accept his $19.2 million and then see what he can get next summer.
