I think he is undersized which is the only reason he's not in the NBA. Skill wise he has some of the best handles in the world along with a pretty good jumper. He's also definitely quick enough to be playing in the league. The only thing holding him back is his frame unfortunately.
He'd get abused defensively but I still think he could average 10 PPG and 5 APG as a backup style PG.

Around 0 points.
Not to take anything away from his (undoubtedly very good) basketball talent, but NBA players are not also incredibly skilled they are also incredibly athletically gifted.

According to Wikipedia, he could barely earn any minutes as a walk-on at a community college ... I can imagine palming violations were a problem for him.

If the over/under is 2 ppg, I'm taking the under.

0. His handle is fantastic but there is a shot clock and help defense is played, limiting his ability to dribble through multiple people consistently. He's great for pickup and rec league games though.

0. He's maybe 5'10 and couldn't crack a rotation at a community college.

He would be absolutely unplayable, not sure how this is even in doubt. Not only is he too small, but with respect to the guy, he isn't nearly athletic enough to survive in the league.

Re: How many points would THE PROFESSOR average in the NBA?
You really believe he can average 10 and 5 in the NBA? Even a guy like Ish Smith isn't averaging 10 and 5, and he'd wipe the floor against The Professor and would probably look like the GOAT. A lot of people still underestimate the NBA
He'd be my #1 pick at the local gym though.

His wikipedia says he is 5'7" and 34. He would likely struggle to play during garbage time.

What few points he might score would be more than cancelled out by the points scored against him as he is constantly targeted on defense.

Re: How many points would THE PROFESSOR average in the NBA?
There's a reason he got very little playing time in a community college. There's probably dozens of guys his height who got ample playing time in the NCAA. A few guys made it to the NBA who were 5'7 and shorter. So it's definitely not just his size that hindered him.

Meh, I thought the thread would be about Andre Miller
Gordon Haywood, Dwayne Wade, JJ Reddick, Derek Rose, Derrick Fisher, Lenny Wilkins, Kirk Heinrich, Oscar Robinson, DeMar DeRozen, Andre Iguadola, Pascal Siakim, Malcolm Brogdan

Re: How many points would THE PROFESSOR average in the NBA?
I look at this question as similar to threads like how many points could YOU (RealGM poster) score in an NBA game. You're never going to play in an NBA game because you suck compared to NBA players. But if hypothetically you got enough playing time, maybe you could get a bucket here and there (if maybe you were a solid college player and your man did a lot of helping off you).
From the videos I've seen, he does not have good shooting range. In his 1v1 games, he makes sure he receives the check a step inside the three point line, and almost never takes shots beyond the arc, even though those shots are even more valuable with 2s and 1s scoring instead of 2s and 3s, AND it's usually a high school distance line. However, this may also be strategic since in "make it, take it" you aren't guaranteed possessions unless you score, so the higher value of a 2 pointer may be negated by the higher risk of losing possession (has anyone run a mathematical analysis of this?).
He also doesn't go by guys easily, especially without throwing an extended series of moves until the defender finally bites on one. He mostly scores by creating space for his midrange pullup, which he shoots really well.
So besides size, defensive problems (in his 1v1 games, he actually gets surprising amount of strips and sneaky blocks), and no steetball carrying, I don't see his offensive game being at all effective against NBA defenders.

Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Am I the only one who finds his game aesthetically ugly? His movements are kind of herky jerky and not very smooth.
To answer your question, if he were in the NBA, he'd be the worst player in the league.
